Questions & Answers

For what purpose is the cover installed, and how does it work?

Whenever you install or remove a double hollow faucet, you have to place the cover over the sink. It's installation is relatively easy, because you simply remove the nut, insert the cover by its thread, and proceed to tighten the nut. The level of difficulty is 0!

It was supposed to be stainless steel, but it came in brushed nickel
3/5

Don't put the gasket between the countertop and the nut -- it should go under the top piece! I ordered the brushed nickel item, thinking it would match my stainless steel sink. It was actually brushed nickel, which didn't match at all. Well, maybe I'll find one that has a good look at a big one someday. I am not concerned about this big-box store because it is functional and doesn't bother me. I apologize for those complaining about the leaking, lack of rubber gasket, and so on. You may not see it in the instructions, but the provided gasket goes under the top round piece and will compress as you tighten the bottom plastic nut. The ring is a hand-made item.

A job is completed
4/5

The plastic is cheap, but it does the job. There is a possibility of worse outcomes. When I previously bought one with these teeth going all the way around it, I was unable to insert it into the slot. After bending and destroying it, I had to throw it away. The process of buying and installing this was really easy for me. In order to tighten it, you need to be able to climb under your sink. The bolt has to be tightened slowly so you don't crack it, then there is no way to fix it, then you have to buy a new There is no indication in the top that this is a cheap plastic item. It works in the end, so it is not a bad solution. Just as a precaution, I suggest getting a small tube of clear caulk to place a small bead around the hole before tightening down, so that water cannot leak through the top of the sink to the cabinet below.

In the case of a 1 The hole is half inch wide
5/5

The bottom line Due to the removal of our dishwasher and garbage disposal, we had to plug in our 1-phase electric circuit The hole is half inch wide. A few observations The grade on this one is 1. Only 1/8" of an inch is around the edge of a 3" outside diameter. Because I did not consider what the overlap would be, I'm ordering a new one that is 2 inches in diameter for a 1/4-inch The foam washer was placed between the plug and the sink on the TOP side. Pros I like the fit and the quality The finish line. The cons are Don't over-tighten the screws since it is a plastic construction Make sure the nut is tight. As a conclusion It is a 5-percent discount at $4 A star. The following related products are available Item# SC1008 in Gourmet Scape Collection.

Not only are these cheap and plastic, but they are also very effective
5/5

We are cheap and we have high quality This plastic is a good choice because it is durable and Unless it breaks I will be very happy if it doesn't break. The cap looks like real brushed nickel, most of the rest looks like cheap plastic. In any case, I would have gladly paid 4x as much for a.

A perfect match in terms of color and fit
5/5

I bought this faucet to match my Moen Noelle kitchen faucet (Mediterranean Bronze). My plastic nut provided by the manufacturer did not securely attach to the wood under our counter, so I was unable to get a secure and tight fit. By using a few extra plumber washers (rubber spongy kind), I was able to achieve a tighter fit so I do not have to worry about water seeping down into the cabinet. There might be a chance for Danco to implement better washers in this This product is extremely well constructed, and I am very pleased with it. Although it is too thin to form a tight seal between the sink and the hole cover, and the underside washer is not included, I am very satisfied with it. Bronze covers for holes are hard to find It is a perfect match of colors, and I could not be happier.

A new update has been posted
3/5

I had no problems installing it, and it is virtually a perfect match for the new faucet on the wall it was purchased to complement. Despite this, there were a few scratches on the surface, so I'm not sure how durable it is Time will tell whether or not this is accurate. I consider the item's value to be okay since it is an inexpensive item. Would have given it a 4 or 5 star rating if it came with the caulk necessary to seal the unit per installation instructions and was in perfect condition. While I'd be inclined to recommend it if it weren't scratched, the buyer should be aware it might not be perfect. It's been only five months since the perfectly matched plug was installed, and now the finish has started to wear off. I don't like the way it looks The nickel plating remains in some places, but there are several areas where it has worn away to reveal the scratched bright silver that the nickel plating was meant to protect. We have lost too much time I won't buy it again and I will not recommend it. Despite the low price and cheap product quality, it was of very low quality.

I bought stainless steel hole covers at the store for the best price
5/5

The stainless steel hole covers were great. Despite measuring and getting the right size, the hole could not be fitted into it. Nearly 4 dollars was the price I paid. You can get it from Lowe's for $ 00. I have no idea how anyone could possibly think this item is stainless steel for this price, and I have no idea why we need it to be stainless steel, when so many houses are built with plastic pipes, but reviews suggest few people think so. A very good item that does what it is supposed to do in a very good way. I use the sink and faucet that match my brushed stainless steel sink. In addition, I find it hard to believe that I would have to replace it in a few months as some people here claim.

The product does the job but has a different color from what Purchasing the "White" model from Amazon was a good choice
4/5

It is called "Ice White Finish" on the packaging when the package arrives. To be fair to Amazon, the images on their site match the product's blue-colored packaging The grey tone matches my white sink pretty well, but in terms of the grey tone, it is slightly different. I was not as enthusiastic as I should be A photo of the event is shown in the accompanying text. The current product will suffice for now. I plan on replacing it shortly. My complaints do not pertain to sealing or installation As long as the gasket is above the sink deck, centered in the hole, and hand-tightened from below, everything will work. Rather than sealing it further, I left it alone Water is what it is- The clamp is tight, but I imagine it might slide when bumped, so a sealer would be a good idea for a permanent installation. In light of the color mismatch, I will be replacing this item soon.
