The top of the lid and the seat are, but the inside of the lid and the back of the seat are not. It's very soft and comfortable to close.

I'm sorry, but I'm stumped! I peed on the seat by accident, but it did not turn blue. My seat does not turn blue when I clean it. That is an excellent suggestion. Please let me know if you find out! 🤔
It's a very comfortable chair. After a year, the first one gave out. I'm not sure how long this one will last. There's already a fold in it. However, it is preferable to a hard wooden one in my opinion.

The hinge is simple to open and close. However, they do not completely close (as shown in the photo). The plastic nuts and bolts hold the seat firmly in place, and it appears to be both sturdy and comfortable. However, it leaves much to be desired in terms of aesthetics. It isn't packaged (which would make it easy to return); it isn't packaged (which would make it easy to return); and it isn't packaged (which would make it easy It's packaged in a bag made of plastic. In order to remove the seat, you'll most likely rip it. Which means that returning it (which I understand the seller requires) will cost you more time and money than getting a new, more aesthetically pleasing seat is worth. If aesthetics aren't important to you and you're only concerned with functionality, you can probably get away with a seat that looks like the one shown here. UPDATE: I took the thing apart again after writing my initial review to take a closer look at it. When I reassembled it, I was able to get the locking mechanism on the right bolt to close properly this time. The left locking mechanism now closes more securely than before. However, it is still a couple of degrees short of being completely closed. It will not be possible to "quickly remove" the seat for cleaning by simply unlocking it. The round part of the bolt that goes into the locking mechanism is way too tight to easily remove the seat for cleaning. I'll have to unscrew the nuts from the bolts underneath the back of the toilet and then lift the entire structure up and off if I want to do a thorough cleaning around that area.
The seams irritate the skin as the padding compresses. I returned it and went back to the brand I was previously using.
The seat was described as being 4 inches tall in the description. This was purchased for my wife in order to make it easier for her to exit the vehicle. The seat is only a couple of inches thick.
At the same time, it's sturdy, holds its shape, and doesn't slide around the toilet like some other soft toilet seats (I've had that unpleasant experience with other soft toilet seats). br>The setup is straightforward, and as long as you measure your toilet to ensure a proper fit, you should have no issues. This product comes highly recommended by me, especially to those who believe that sitting in a hard seat is the only way to live (it isn't!). Give it a try and see what happens. You're not going to be let down.
It's not as dense as it once was. You can tell they've improved the quality because there isn't much padding. Just a heads up to the company: once someone finds a product they like, they reorder it repeatedly and tell others how to find and order it as well! Any suggestions for a higher-quality, thicker one would be extremely helpful. I used to get them from Bed, Bath and Beyond, but since Covid, they've stopped carrying them. So sad!.
I should have purchased something similar to this years ago. I've always had a hard toilet seat and didn't realize there was a better option. Then my cousin got one, and I tried it out. I had no idea sitting in the bathroom could be so relaxing. I am so grateful for this lovely toilet seat. It was simple to set up and maintain, and it cleans up beautifully. It appeals to me.
This isn't a bad movie. I just keep a 5/8 inch wrench nearby and tighten it once a week because it shifts a little to the side. Also, after sitting for a while, the nice soft cushion feels a little damp; don't ask me why; my best guess is that it holds perspiration. Much better than the thin plastic that comes with most toilets. This makes the toilet more comfortable to use. br>br>Perhaps if you were careful to keep the angles of the two fasteners equal when first installing it, it would stay in place better. But, of course, I'm dreaming.
Toilet seats have gotten a lot easier to install in the last few years. A phillips head screwdriver is all you'll need. This one, however, necessitates the use of a 16mm wrench - So instead of being done in two minutes, I'm craning my head around my toilet with pliers trying to install the d@n thing. Mayfair, you've made this a lot more difficult than it needed to be. I'm hoping this thing sticks around for a while.
