MAYFAIR 129CPA 000 Beadboard Toilet Seat with Chrome Hinges will Never Loosen, ELONGATED, Durable Enameled Wood, White

For a previous apartment, I purchased one of these toilet seats. It appeared to be in good condition, but I had to leave six months later and didn't want to take it with me. br>I purchased a new one for my new place six months ago. The bathroom has white painted wood paneling, just like the apartment I was living in at the time, and the lid on the seat was a perfect match. It eventually cracked after six months. The toilet seat was installed according to the instructions and did not wobble in the least. I'm a little heavier than I'd like to be (140 pounds, to be precise), but I'm not a big lady. And I'm the heaviest person who has ever sat in this chair since I bought it. It simply burst under the weight of the pressure! br>I bought it because it went with my decor and was "wood. " Molded wood, I suppose, isn't the same as genuine wood. I wouldn't mind having to replace this toilet seat after six months if it was a Home Depot bargain. However, I believe I was treated unfairly.

It's cute, but it's a complete waste of time. When I first opened the package, the bag containing the fasteners was loose in between the seat and lid - I was so glad to purchase a made in America product. Two deep gouges in the seat were caused by this during shipping. Because the shipment had already arrived later than expected, I decided to cover it with a few drops of paint rather than go through the trouble of returning it. (I was under the impression that this was the only issue - I was sorely mistaken. When my husband went to put it on the toilet, he discovered that one of the plastic bushings had broken clear in half. The threaded bolt would not fit, and it's becoming a major headache. Such a letdown. Make a financial plan. Because we have a cottage, I thought it would be nice. The beadboard top would have been fantastic in the bathroom. This isn't even close to being worth the money. I knew I should have read more reviews, but I was hoping they were an outlier.

if you don't mind stains such as urine and 'other' stains that you can't remove This is a fantastic position to be in. It's well-built and appealing to the eye. It was'sort of' simple to set up. The toilet attachment's plastic parts were not particularly well made, but that was fine; we made do. We had to use an old part from the previous seat hardware because one of the pieces broke when it was inserted. This was purchased in June. br>br> As I write this, it is October. It's already soiled to the point of being unusable. I've scrubbed and sprayed everything I could think of. It's not going to come off. br>br>I understand it's been in use. 'However, the seat should be able to withstand a certain amount of wear and tear. ' It's been 4 months and this is still in such bad shape. Having visitors use this bathroom is embarrassing. It also has a bad odor. br>br> Just keep in mind that this seat appears to have a lot of holes in it. br>br>It wasn't a Mayfair, so I had to replace it. Mayfair, we apologize for the inconvenience. I'm a big fan of the design. But that's all there is to it. I'm sorry, but I won't be able to return it to you.

I wanted to replace the toilet seats while I was updating the bathroom. I ordered one, which took about five minutes to replace, and I was so pleased with the outcome that I ordered another from the same manufacturer in a different color and material. The product itself is nice, but installing it took me an hour. Maybe it was because the toilet was a Glacier Bay, which is an unusual brand, but it saves water and doesn't seem strange. To be clear, I'm a single woman who enjoys doing things on her own. I'm not one of those people who likes to pay for handyman services unless it's absolutely necessary. My main gripe is that the attaching mechanism is bizarre, and I had trouble getting traction on the bolt thread from below. Because I was working in a small space, the problem could have been exacerbated. Another gripe I have is that it necessitates a half-hour of preparation time. To tighten completely, use an inch wrench. Although I was able to fix it with an adjustable wrench from my toolbox, I still give this model a low rating. I'm not going to buy it again. The only reason I didn't give it a lower rating is because of the excellent quality.

Finally, a seat that is both comfortable and durable. This time I shopped wisely; I've had to replace several seats because the hinges and hardware were all made of plastic and had loosened and pulled apart over time; however, this seal has metal hinges and hardware. What a difference; I can tell this is much better right away. br>br>As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and I paid a little more in this case, but it was well worth it, and it is an attractive seat in terms of seats. The weight is nice and heavy. br>br>I like it, and the Great Adventure ride is over, so no more sliding off the toilet when people sit down.

I'm extremely disappointed. I have a Bemis toilet seat that is identical to this one, and it is fantastic. So I bought this one, despite the fact that they claimed it was the same. It has the same appearance as the original, but it is not as well constructed. It will not stay tightened, and the hinges themselves are moving. That is the most frustrating part because I have no control over it. As a result, the seat wiggles from side to side, which is a disaster. I would not recommend this product. If I could, I would return it.

I knew I wanted to buy another of these after purchasing one for a different bathroom. This seat is built better than the less expensive seats with all plastic hardware; the metal hinge on this seat is unquestionably more durable. The only issue I have is that the loose hardware package was not included. (Fortunately, I had a backup set. ) If I don't want this review to be denied, there are reasons I can't discuss here.

This was very simple to set up. I don't see how you could end up with a toilet seat that wriggles if you follow the instructions to the letter, as some reviewers claim. Two of them, one upstairs and one downstairs, were installed on the same day. There is no wriggling at all in either seat. Installation instructions are extremely brief. I looked up how to do it online and found a very useful, short video that demonstrated everything I needed to know. My new toilet seats have made a huge difference in my life.
