I can't give you a precise figure, but I'm over 200 pounds, and the seat doesn't appear to be designed to hold much more. For 400, I'd second-guess myself. Metal bolts, on the other hand, are used in this one. The seat's thinness is something I'd be concerned about.
I'm not sure what toilet model number this house had when we bought it years ago. Ice Grey is the color of my elongated toilet. I chose a seat with that shape in mind. color, and it was a perfect fit. To the best of my knowledge, all Kohler elongated toilets have the same dimensions, but you can always call to double-check.

I work as an HVAC field supervisor, and I came across this toilet seat in one of the construction sites. I was blown away by the fact that not only cabinets drawers, but also toilet seats, can close slowly. I despise going to the bathroom at 2 a. m. and then finding myself standing there leaking water. The sound of the toilet seat cover slamming against it is the next thing I hear. That's no longer the case. br>br> I found this one on Amazon and thought it would be too big at first because I measured it against the measurements in their advertisement and it didn't quite fit my toilets. "Let's give it a try," my wife said, "but don't order all of them at once. " "And that is exactly what we did. " And, WOW. It was fantastic. It's perfect and does exactly what it says on the tin. This is a terrible design. Everything in my house is Kohler, so when our new bathroom toilet arrived without a seat, I was a little taken aback. I ordered this recommended unit and was blown away by how ineffective it is. The seat is made to fit a toilet, not a person's body. It's like sitting on a razor blade with an oval shape to it. Because the inside seat ring is too narrow, I ended up using the seat from our guest room's Kohler toilet. HEY KOHLER, that one came with the same toilet, and it's ideal. DO NOT FIX IT IF IT ISN'T BROKEN. Your line is far too high-end for such nonsense.
The knobs that allow it to open and close broke off, and the cover and seat were left hanging. Very dissatisfied with the amount of money wasted!.
