After installation, I wrote my first review too quickly. This seat is fine; it fits the toilet perfectly, and any difference in the interior opening of the seat makes no difference in terms of practicality. It was unfair to even mention the installation, which is simple enough, because it was not advertised as one of the "easy install" seats. Because of my advanced age and arthritic hands, it only took me about 7 or 8 minutes. Now that it's been installed and used, I can confirm that the auto-closing seat and back function flawlessly. By the way, it's made of a heavier, presumably more durable plastic than the seat it replaced (and for which the purchase was made). I should have given it a five-star rating.
I can't believe how bad this is for how highly rated it is. Because the plastic is thin and pliable, the metal bolts must be used. The seat slips sideways because the wingnuts don't stay tight. I'm noticing that I'm re-reading the same books over and over The seat also slips forward because it's designed to adjust forward or back to fit your toilet; no matter how tight I screw them down, any stress bends the plastic and pushes the nut down the bolt; the seat also slips forward because it's designed to adjust forward or back to fit your toilet; This would be fine if the bolts were tight enough to keep the adjustment in place, but they aren't. Sitting on the lid will cause it to pop down, which isn't a pleasant experience (speaking as a 170lb adult). This is a shockingly poor product for the price - I'm guessing it'll be a scavenger hunt. the- line budget model (for reference, they start at around $12 at my Home Depot). In terms of professionals, br>br> We've had it for a month and it hasn't broken. It was just like any other toilet seat I've installed in the last five years in terms of ease of installation.
It took me less than 5 minutes to complete the installation. The instructions are straightforward and easy to follow. br>br>Because of the plastic nuts and bolts, my previous seat was broken. This one, on the other hand, uses metal bolts, nuts, and washers, which is far superior.
Okay, this isn't the most romantic way to improve a mundane aspect of your life. However, if you're going to do this, the "slow-and-steady" method is the best way to go. The "close" lid feature is a lot more useful than you might think. You can get around it if necessary, but why would you want to? The seat is extremely secure and easy to install. I had some old nylon studs and nuts that were constantly loosening and a pain to tighten. This design does not allow that. Studs are made of metal and have a slot on top for a screwdriver, making them simple to tighten. That's fine by me.
I almost feel bad for not getting this sooner! My new toilet seat is fantastic! It appears to be quite reliable. It is very simple to set up. Instructions that are very clear. It was a very quiet closing. It was a perfect match. I'm going to get one for my second bathroom, too!.
But this seat not only closes slowly, but it's also comfortable to sit on and isn't hard and cold. Most importantly, it has bottom-mounted wings to keep the lid from slipping. You'll be grateful to your tush.
I was looking for a toilet seat with metal hardware (rather than plastic) after having to return a toilet seat of a different brand that broke during installation. I'm glad I chose this particular seat! It has metal hardware that is long-lasting and durable. non-permanent, durable The toilet is accessible via a slip connection. We've had this plush seat for a few months and are very pleased with it!.
br>This company clearly knows what they're doing. br>You simply must purchase this item; you will be extremely pleased with your decision.
