I do sit on the lid, and my husband is with me! He stands 6 feet tall and weighs around 175 pounds. The whole thing is made of extremely tough plastic. The lid and the seat are both slow to close. I'd like to add that I adore this feature!
Both should be "Slow Close," and if they aren't, your new seat is defective. I have two of these, and they both work properly as "slow close" seats.

I'd had it with my toilet seat slid around under me for a long time. I enjoy thrills, but not while I'm in the restroom. As a result, I took the risk and invested in a good seat. br>br>When I returned home, I discovered it had been installed. My wife, who isn't particularly handy, had no trouble putting it together. You can do it, too, if she can do it. We haven't had any problems with it since. br>br>With the rubber feet, I no longer have to worry about sliding on the porcelain, and my bathroom visits are now completely predictable. The slow- I've got one less thing to do now that I've closed the lid; This is, in my opinion, how it feels to be wealthy.
This toilet seat was purchased to replace a bamboo toilet seat that I had previously owned. This new seat is very nice, especially for the price! This is a great deal. The seat is simple to put together. Simply follow the directions on the box's outside. One standard screwdriver and a willing person are the only tools required. This seat appears to stay in place on the top of the toilet base rather than sliding around. My previous one made going to the bathroom an adventure, especially late at night. I actually enjoy sitting in this new seat because it has a very comfortable contour. It's also a lot cleaner than the one I had before, which was made of wood. The wooden one was so porous that it collected mildew and other nasty things that couldn't quite be removed from the cellular structures of the wood. This one wipes off easily. br> In addition, the new seat's slow-close lid is a welcome addition. I used to have to lower the lid all the way down to the seat on the previous one. To avoid the sound of the lid slamming against the seat. br>And it's a hit with Nikko, my cat! On the day I put it in, he apparently needed to inspect it! br>I'm here to report that it received two paws of approval. br>If you need a new seat for your oval toilet, this is an excellent choice! Simply follow the instructions on the product page to measure your toilet. To ensure that it is compatible with your toilet. br>I don't believe you'll be disappointed in your decision to purchase this seat. No, I don't think so.
After only a few months of use, the slow close mechanism has failed.
Plastic toilet seat, medium strength plastic, quite close to the toilet, very easy to install. The mounting nuts and bolts are made of plastic or nylon. As a result, don't tighten too much. It also includes two anti-skid gaskets that go between the toilet and the seat mounts. When the lid is closed, it is possible to sit on it. It appears to be of adequate quality. I'm a 185-pound woman. Overall, it looks and performs admirably. For the price, this is an excellent product.
I spent some time studying soft-serve ice cream. close seats in search of a specific feature You may be a female-dominated household, so please accept my apologies, but I have males. Their aim isn't quite as good as it should be (we'll blame it on their nearsightedness). However, urine collects on the bowl's lip, and this seat (along with many others) now sits flush against the porcelain for the entire width between the latches (as opposed to the photo). So there's a long run where urine can collect and you can't wipe it away because you can't get to it. Yuck. I'm undecided about returning it because it appears to be a standard feature, and I doubt I'll be able to find another with it. However, there is an issue.
The two flanges that attach to the toilet bowl are ill-designed and easily break. The plastic immediately surrounding the bolt is wafer thin and raised off the toilet bowl's surface, allowing the bolt to easily snap off a small moon-shaped wafer of plastic. The bolt will simply pass through the now-enlarged hole if this happens. Even if the plastic that surrounds the bolt has been redesigned to sit flush against the toilet bowl surface, it is still so thin that it will most likely break during use.
Well, I guess buying a toilet seat online served me right; despite ordering new (there was an open packaged option), the box has clearly been opened, and there are particles (including pubic hair) on the seat/wrapping. It is, however, delta white-slow close eblongated, as described.
I've been wanting plastic toilet seats for a while because the wood ones get stained and gross after a while, and when I went to my local stores, they only had the cheapy Maytag brand, which was even more expensive than this one! They were extremely flimsy, and the hinges were unsightly (I know, it's a toilet seat, but still, pass judgment)! During my search, I came across this one, read the reviews, and decided to purchase it. I have never had a better toilet seat. It's very comfortable to sit on, and the thick plastic is very sturdy and doesn't bend at all, even when my chonkasaurus butt sits on the lid while I apply makeup! It's also simple to clean; we'll see how well it holds up over time. AND it's good-looking. looking! So far, it's been a fantastic product at a fantastic price, and I highly recommend it:.
