For weeks I was convinced there was a leak in the toilet and scrubbing my entire bathroom with bleach and various cleaners was a waste of time and effort. When I almost had my husband remove the toilet to check whether the ring was damaged or we had a leak, I almost had him remove it. Many reviews complained about how hard it is to install, but I had a very easy time. This was the first time I installed anything so I had no issues. I didn't have a 1/2" wrench, but I could have finished tightening it with pliers. Overall, I think it only took me about 10 minutes to install (possibly less). I could see being able to complete it in under five minutes if you have a wrench that will fit in the small gap better. Additionally, I have somewhat weak muscles, both in my hands and arms, but it didn't bother me much. I consider the toilet seat material to be heavy duty, installed very solidly, and being the same brand as the one we previously had (just a slightly newer model), it should last another nine years.

As it was a very light weight product, I thought it would be good in keeping lids from slamming too hard when I get in a rush while cleaning (poor neighbors above me). Well, one of the hinges on it just broke in half. I am not quite sure what happened. My ahh, ahh. This new seat is heavy, but it can withstand a lot of pressure.
