The back is secured by two 3" x 5/16" bolts. I'm not sure what type of seat riser you have, but you'll need to leave enough room for the bolts to stick down.

lowering. I bought this toilet seat under the impression that if you started pulling it down and then released it, it would gently lower itself all the way down. However, this is not the case. It's just a really stiff hinge that you have to manually move through the entire range of motion (if you let go, it'll stay in place at whatever angle it's at). It's perplexing because my Toto toilet seat at home says "soft-close. " close" and it DOES self-explanatory lower. "Soft-skinned" is a term that I use to describe someone who I thought the terms "close" and "no-slam" were interchangeable, but apparently not. However, I can't take away a star because the description isn't particularly deceptive in and of itself - It appears that different manufacturers are using different terminologies. br>br>Anyway, it took me about 60 seconds to put this seat together (bolts, nuts, washers, and lock washers are all included) and it works great.
There's no risk of "nut crush" with an open front.
The more expensive Kohler seats, on the other hand, are made of 1/4-inch soft plastic. This Bemis seat is made of solid hard plastic that is 1 inch thick. On the Kohler seat that came with the toilet, the soft plastic hinge support tabs had broken, and the design was overly complex. This seat is as tough as those old school wooden toilet seats that were enameled in white lacquer, but it can withstand harsh cleaning products like bleach and acid-based bowl cleaners.
Every morning, I look forward to using it while drinking my coffee and scrolling through Instagram memes. Some toilet seats are too long, while others are too round, but this one is the perfect size.
This is fantastic! It has plenty of storage space for your belongings.
This item is extremely durable. I have four young boys, and they are the worst when it comes to leaving the seat up or not lifting it at all, resulting in dribbles. With this winner, I don't appear to be having any of those problems. It was extremely beneficial to them in terms of their bathroom.
A walker can use the toilet seat that does not have a lid. After using the toilet, you can use the walker's sides as handles to help you get up. For that purpose, this seat is ideal.
For a woman's bathroom, this is a replacement toilet seat. Perfect fit, super easy to swap out, and extremely durable.
