This is a lovely faucet that is also reasonably priced. It was the ideal way to complete my farmhouse bathroom makeover. I'm a fairly handy woman who has installed numerous faucets, lights, and ceiling fans. Having said that, this was a challenge for me. The faucet was simple to install, but it required longer hoses; the length was insufficient, but I was able to purchase extensions from Home Depot. br>br> The difficulties stemmed from the lack of instructions for the pop-up drain. Just to figure it out, I had to look at YouTube videos. Perhaps the difficulty with installation was due to the fact that I used this on a vessel sink with a DIY wood vanity. If you're having trouble figuring out where the washers should go, look up vessel pop up faucet installation on YouTube. Regardless, it turned out perfectly! br>br>.
This is a faucet that I really like. When we first started renovating our bathroom, I bought this a few months ago. I wanted to make sure the faucet would fit because we used an old dresser and put the sink on top of it. The bathroom was moved in this past weekend. We went to install the faucet and discovered that no hardware parts were included. That's so disappointing. We'd been working on this project for months and had to take a break to go out and buy a new faucet to finish it. It is now too late to make amends. As soon as you receive your package, inspect it thoroughly.
The packaging did not include the proper installation instructions, so I am withholding a fifth star. When I contacted GSStudy, they sent me an email with instructions. The faucets are also loud, as mentioned by another reviewer, even when the water pressure under the sink is turned down. However, I've learned to only half-pull the lever. I believe they are worth the money because they provide excellent water flow with minimal noise. They also complement my above-mentioned outfit perfectly. Sinks for counter-top vessels.
The oil rubbed bronze looks great, and the height and design of the curves on the faucet allow it to fit perfectly into the center of the hammer copper bucket sink we purchased. It's just a shame that the water lines on this faucet (the stainless steel braided hot and cold lines) are so short; they're well made. However, this is a vessel sink faucet. It's too high for a standard sink that sits flush against the vanity countertop. The manufacturer is well aware that it will be used in this manner, so why don't they provide 4" longer water lines? Instead, make sure you know ahead of time whether you'll need to buy longer lines (which means you'll have to toss out the short, standard length ones) or extensions and couplers. They're also not cheap, and it's a pain when you go to buy them and the store is out of stock. It's not a big deal if you live near a lot of stores, but we don't. It's an hour and a half round trip, and if Home Depot runs out, we'll have to wait a few weeks and hope they have more. Please keep in mind that you will require longer water lines.
The faucet arrived in perfect condition. My issues were that the water lines were difficult to install (screw in), and the copper pipe to secure it to the counter barely fit over the water lines, so I had to force it over them and was lucky they didn't break. The water handle also comes off easily, which isn't a big deal because it just snaps back on, but each member of my family had a good freak out when they realized they'd snapped it off. Also, be careful or wear gloves when installing the water lines because the lines contain metal slivers that are difficult to remove from your fingers.
The faucet is attractive, but the instructions for installation are inadequate. Because the hole requirements are not stated in the directions, you must check the listing description. It can also be installed on up to two different types of countertops, according to the manufacturer. Thickness of 28" Mine is number one. 5" think, and the included stem shank is too short!br>I contacted the seller about the stem piece being too short, and they directed me to a separate item that I would have to purchase. I don't think I should have to buy any more pieces because the description stated that everything should work. I'll almost certainly return to find something that works with my setup.
Warning: The hot and cold water hoses (which are provided) are not contacted inside the fixture. This is something you'll have to figure out on your own, and it's a pain! We ruined one faucet while attempting to disassemble the fixture, necessitating the purchase of yet another new faucet. They were finally put in place; It's stunning! However, it is extremely loud! Which has nothing to do with our plumbing. Only the faucets are making a racket. What a letdown! I'm out of the return window as well.
UPDATE: I think I just got a bad one. The seller stood behind the product and offered to replace the faulty drain at no cost to me. This made a bad situation much better. The new drain is doing a fantastic job. ORIGINAL: ORIGINAL: ORIGINAL: ORIGINAL: ORIGINAL: ORIGINAL: ORIGIN br>The faucet itself appears to be in good working order. The drain that comes with the vessel is made of stone, not plastic that looks like metal, and it is easily damaged while attempting to connect it to the vessel bowl. This isn't the drain you're looking for. If all you need is the faucet, this is a good option.
