Is it possible to put the unit under the seat where I want steam to come out?

If you have a place to drain it, I suppose you could. It is, however, very loud. So I doubt you'll want to do it.

Does the steam head allow this unit to drain back into the shower? Is it necessary for it to automatically flush into a separate drain line outside the shower?

I have mine draining into a separate drain line, but the purged water is scorching hot! I've tried calling the steam spa at least a half-dozen times and have only spoken with one woman who wanted to transfer me to someone else after 45 minutes of ringing with no answer. Good Luck

When the generator is turned on, it makes a loud banging noise with frequent interruptions, interrupting the flow of water and steam. What might be the root of the problem?

It sounds like ghosts are passing through. Perhaps a hammer made of water. A water hammer arrestor might be worth a shot.

This unit is fantastic! This is my second steam spa; I bought one for my previous home and couldn't live without it, so I bought another for my new home. Every time I take a shower, I use it. In the winter, I fill the reservoir with eucalyptus oil. I bought a long-handled clamp that I keep in the shower with me to clean my jewelry while I'm there.

The documentation is inadequate. So far, it's been a great success. Steam is easy to come by and comes in a lot of different forms. Despite the poor instructions, installation was simple. However, I'm still stumped as to how to change the time.
