It's supposed to be kept in an insulated area, according to the instructions. The generator would most likely be damaged by freezing temperatures. It would be difficult to get it hot enough to produce steam in the winter because of the cold. If the temperature in your area does not fall below freezing, you could construct an insulated enclosure. The enclosure must be large enough to allow 1' of clearance on all sides and above.
For the 9kw, you'll need a pair of standard Two-Pole Plugs. Without a GFCI, a pole circuit breaker is used. 50/60 Hz, 240 V, 60 A
I hired an electrician to install a dedicated breaker for this unit, as per the specifications.
Yes, and the phone line should have been included with the unit - The phone terminals are on both ends of a 30-foot cable. br>One end goes into the unit, while the other goes into the shower or steam area's remote control. br>The unit's connection is hidden behind a decal on one of its sides - It must be peeled away.

Unfortunately, the ostensibly new product we bought from this vendor in 2018 did not work. Kohler did not warranty the product because it was considered a resale/used product from 2016, and it also appeared to have shipped without a critical trouble-shooting component. shooting kit and requested that we work out the details with the Amazon vendor. We didn't realize all of this until after the 30-day return period had passed because this is a construction product. When I tried to contact Home Plumbing, they hung up on me and blocked my communication.
This steam generator is quite nice. Immediately begins to generate steam - This leads me to believe it keeps the water in the tank warm all of the time (something I need to look into). The power cleaning feature is a nice addition. br>You'll also need the control kit (which is a separate purchase). The control panel's display is extremely bright, which is my only criticism. I wish there was a way to change the brightness of the screen. This 9kW unit necessitates a significant amount of energy. I was replacing a 40A breaker-equipped unit that was slightly smaller. Because this unit requires a 60A breaker, I had to run new (heavier) wire, which increased the cost significantly. br>However, I am very happy with this purchase.
When I first got it, it didn't work. Unfortunately, because of delays in receiving it, as well as it being lost in transit and scheduling with the plumber, this was discovered after the 30-day return period had expired. I'm going to file an appeal.
This, like everything else from Kohler, is well-made and performs admirably. I strongly advise you to use this steamer. My contractor advised me to go with a lower kW, but I wanted a very steamy shower, so I went with the next model up. Steam is a wonderful feature to have when you want to relax, clear your sinuses, or do body scrubs; I use it all the time and enjoy it. Make sure to purchase the matching thermostat and vent, as they both have a sleek appearance.
This item is not functioning properly. Trying to reach out to Kohler or the seller for assistance is still ongoing. The machine had been professionally installed and there was only a problem with it.
This was purchased to replace one that had lasted 7 years before dying, and it has performed admirably.
It's simple to set up and operate. After the installation, make sure to do a power clean. For a bathroom shower, there is ample output.
When the unit was first installed, it didn't work. br>Amazon has been replaced by a different generator.
