WATER AUTO FEED FROM A STEAM BOILER

The VXT- Installing the 24 Hydolevel steam boiler water auto feed was a breeze, and it's working as it should. Before attempting a DIY, please make a mental note of and read through all of the installation instructions. Otherwise, if you don't know what you're doing, it could turn into a disaster. Consult a plumber if you're unsure. This unit should be isolated between two brass unions in the direction of water flow to the boiler, positioned between two isolated valves, and a manual feed valve, as directed in the install guide. It is a very good product, and I wish I had done this sooner. Enjoy.

The unit had no mount for the electric solenoid valve, so it was junk, misrepresented, and falling apart

Wires were half the thickness of the same exact brand purchased at a plumbing supply store, and the plumbing supply unit had the solenoid mounted to the box, as I expected. The picture shows a metal plate on the back that holds the selonoid, but the unit you receive does not have that plate. Do not purchase this unit; it is junk. Oh, and the plumbing supply store was less expensive as well.

This feature has not yet been implemented. As part of a larger redevelopment project, The installation of a new steam boiler. I'm not sure why that wasn't included in the job description! This summer, when we don't require the heat, it will be installed.

It could have been the difference between saving my boiler and ruining it. My boiler was reportedly consuming a large amount of water, which is known to kill boilers. Now I can keep track of everything and catch any issues before they become too serious.
