The steam shower can be placed above or below the steam unit. The length of the steam pipe should be kept under 25 feet for optimal performance, but it can be up to 50 feet. The control cable that comes with the unit is 35 feet long, but longer cables can be ordered.
A 50 amp, double pole breaker and at least an 8awg, two conductor, plus ground, 90oC Copper wire are required for the 10kw, 240V steam generator. However, we recommend consulting a local electrician to see if a larger gauge wire is required by local code.

In October of 2018, I bought this unit and installed it beneath the bathroom sink. It leads directly to the shower, which is about 140 cubic feet in size and is only a short distance away. It quickly heats up the room, and none of the components have caused me any problems. I have a manual drain that I open every couple of years. Mineral buildup in the generator has never been an issue. Due to the high calcium content in our water supply, I have a water softener. This device and company are both highly recommended by me. It performs admirably and is inexpensive. On a 50 Amp circuit, it consumes a lot of power. In my shower, I have a flat ceiling, so there hasn't been any "dripping. " Because I live in a cold climate (northwestern Montana), I added extra waterproofing and a vapor barrier, which I would recommend because of the heat and moisture, as well as the potential for mold in the surrounding walls and ceiling.
In October 2020, I purchased this item. It's been an absolute nightmare trying to get it to work properly. We've had four different HVAC companies, two different plumbers, and one different electrician. All of these people contacted Elite Steam customer service for assistance with the installation process. who have been unsuccessful in getting the thermostat controller to stop reading the EG error code and work properly. After numerous attempts, I am unable to contact Elite Steam in the hopes of having this piece replaced for us. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this purchase.
Excellent value for money! This steamer is a fantastic piece of equipment. Controls are superb. Steamer in a very small package. Excellent craftsmanship. Excellent value for money. On the steamer head, there's a nice little oil pocket. That is wonderful. You can order a separate control to turn on the steamer both inside and outside your custom shower, which is the best investment you can make. This is a must-have for those seeking luxury and comfort.
I wanted to give this product a year of use before writing a review because we love it and use it on a daily basis. My only suggestion for model sizing is to choose a larger model--I would recommend hiring a professional to install it, but it is fairly simple. Especially if you're dealing with an external wall. We would definitely buy from them again.
It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for, I suppose!.
Although it lacks the aromatherapy and music features found in newer models, it is well worth the money.

A fantastic generator at a fantastic price. It's a little pricey to put in because it requires a lot of power and the emergency steam release can't go to the shower (in my case, it's hosed outside). This, however, is true of all steam boilers.
