Having a great product was easy to use, easy to install once I got the right part. I am leaving this as a note for anyone who encounters the same problem I encountered. A tee connector comes in 1/2in on every side of my toilet line, which is 3/8in. Here is an extra piece you will need if you are experiencing the same problem It is helpful to have this information.

In a nutshell, My review of this toilet seat is based on my experience as a Vine reviewer, which means I was given the seat for free in exchange Clearly, some things can only be evaluated over time and over the course of an extended period of time so I'll say this up front. The close nature of toilet seats is an example of this.
What I can tell you is that I believe this seat to be of some quality. There are rubbery pads underneath the seat, which allow the seat to close quietly against the porcelain- Those rubbery pads will be essential once the soft close feature is compromised by a malfunction, as they inevitably are. It seems to be a thin, cheap, but solid plastic. Negatively, I am dissatisfied, to a certain extent, by the lack of plastic fasteners for attaching the toilet seat to the bowl. Since plastic does not rust, I prefer using plastic nuts and bolts as well. The porcelain is less likely to crack if they are overtightened. There will be metal wing screws on this model, which will hold the seat in place, but they will rust and be difficult A rubber gasket would also be beneficial for this seat between the plastic attachments and porcelain since it will provide a bit of cushion against which to tighten and, more importantly, will prevent the hard plastic of the seat from easily coming loose when the position of the porcelain and plastic is disturbed. It is only a small quibble. A soft seat will be able to All will be forgiven over time if you use the close mechanism. The other seats I've had have been adjustable like a screen door so that they close quickly or slowly. It appears that there is no mechanism to adjust this seat. Unlike many hinges, the slow close hinges are completely enclosed in a sealed compartment. I don't even know if the hinges work by using a viscous liquid inside, like many do, or by some other method. Here is the soft spot I've found for myself - The seats that are close usually don't last for more than three to Sadly, they aren't reliable at all. A typical thing that happens with soft closers is that the seat soft closer (located in one hinge) fails while the lid soft closer (located in the other hinge) continues to work. When people lower the lid, they think the pair will close on their own since they have resistance in the paired seat and lid. They release the pair with the effect being a loud banging fall of the seat and a slow descent of the lid to meet the seat. If that occurs, I simply adjust the lid's tension so that there is no resistance and it falls freely, making it appear to be a standard toilet seat that people can lower with their hands, which I'm not sure I could do with this seat since its soft close mechanism cannot be adjusted. Time will tell but, in the end, it is still too early to I am hopeful at the moment. My goal is to report back in the future about what time tells us.
