This item appears to be well-made and durable. The pivoting holder is a fantastic feature. My complaint is that the holder is squared off, and because the toilet paper roll is round, there is "friction" as it turns. It's a little like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. It has a sleek and modern appearance, and I purchased a towel holder to match, so I won't be returning it, but be prepared for a lot of tee-shirts. When removing sheets from the roll, there is some "dust" and resistance.
I've had the Moen Voss toilet paper holder for more than a year and have been very pleased with it. Installation is facilitated by the inclusion of a template and hollow wall anchors. It's easy to load toilet paper by pivoting the center arm. Place the roll on and return it to its original position. I'd never go back to using a spring-loaded roller again. The center piece is rectangular, despite the fact that it is rectangular. The rolls spin smoothly, and the mega-sized toilet paper rolls are easily accommodated. This product is excellent, and it coordinates well with the other Moen Voss accessories and faucets.
It has a nice appearance and fits jumbo TP rolls. I'm not sure why Amazon wants to know about this product's'softness. ' ) It's a good product, and if you use only drywall screws, it's simple to put together. On one hole, I ran into a wooden stud, so I had to drill a pilot hole for that screw because the only screws in the package were the ones for the drywall anchors - There were no sharp-edged objects in it. wood screws with a pointy tip (Though, to be fair, even if they had provided wood screws, I would have drilled a pilot hole in my stud. ) ) The brushed nickel finish is attractive, and the installation template ensures that everything is in its proper place. Also - This roller is large enough to accommodate the newer jumbo/mega TP rolls without difficulty. (It was for this reason that I had to replace our roller. ) Ha! ) Excellent product that was well worth the investment.
Anyone who has oil rubbed bronze bathroom accessories knows how they should look, and this isn't it. It appears that bronze glitter was sprayed all over the place. Instead of the traditional even darker tone across the broad areas with lighter edges, as you'd get if it were actually rubbed, you get a speckled effect across the entire item that looks like it was washed with a bag of rocks. Because the lighting differs so much from what is shown in the listing images, I've added two additional photos in different lighting. The specks are even more visible in person.
The finish on the Moen Voss faucets and shower valves is not the same as the finish on this faucet. With brighter copper colors and darker spots, this finish is less even. It could be different from item to item, but mine was not a good fit. But I didn't think I'd be able to find a better match, so I took it. br>br>The pivot is one of my favorite features. The template creates a slightly wider gap at the pivot bar's end than I prefer. The hardware has four holes, which is fortunate. I started with the two horizontal lines. When I became dissatisfied with the gap, I switched to the two verticals and shifted them by 3/16" for a perfect alignment. br>br>It's not perfect, but I liked it enough to buy a second Moen pivot holder for the bathroom.
I purchased this for a bathroom remodel, despite the fact that I had no idea how the "pivoting arm" functioned at the time of purchase. That feature has grown to be my favorite. So one side of the middle bar simply lifts upwards to allow the TP roll to be slipped on, what a simple yet brilliant idea. There's no longer a "tension rod" effect, which results in the bar flying across the floor if you miss! It couldn't go any smoother as the bar comes to a halt when it hits the medal on its way down. Two more are on my wish list. I also purchased the matching Voss faucet and towel ring, both of which are fantastic. Just make sure that if your holder is currently attached to a cabinet, you install it far enough down so that the arm can swing upward and there is enough room to slip TP on it without obstructing it with overlapping counter/sink. But it's not an issue if it's attached to a wall like mine. This is an excellent suggestion. It'll be a great experience for you.
This rating does not allow for softness. It's made of metal! Whether it's Amazon or marketers, get it right. This TP HOLDER is constructed of high-quality chrome. It has a nice, elegant look that works well in any traditional, transitional, or modern bathroom. It's simple to set up and works well. The only disadvantage is the exorbitant cost. A toilet paper holder, in my opinion, should not cost more than $20. This one had a lot more to it. This is a fantastic item to buy if money isn't an issue.
When installing, this feature allows for minor adjustments. Exceptional quality. This is a very nice piece of equipment. Moen produces some of the best hardware, in my opinion. The mounting and screws are well hidden, and the mounting allows for minor adjustments, so you don't have to drill your mounting holes perfectly straight. They come in a complete set, which is also nice.
