They're made of metal, and it appears to be nickel, but I can't say for sure what metal they used. They haven't rusted and are in good condition.
Mine hasn't rusted in the least.
I'm not sure. I didn't open the package because I didn't think it was important.
I have yet to notice any rust on mine. They don't appear to rust, and for the price, I thought they were a good deal, and I'm pleased with them so far.

I liked them until they rusted, at which point the rust has spread to both shower curtains. Is it too late for me to express my dissatisfaction now? I purchased the entire setup at the same time as these hooks a little over a month ago.
super duper well The rollers on a few of the hooks were a little sticky right out of the package, so I sprayed them with a silicone-based lubricant that I use for door hinges, and they now work better than rollerblade bearings! They effortlessly glide along the shower rod! These shower curtain hooks serve a single purpose, and they accomplish it admirably with a quick spritz of that lubricating spray. Despite having to support a heavy fabric curtain and a thick plastic liner, the metal feels sturdy and does not deform. There are no burrs on the metal, and there are no signs of low-cost manufacturing. It's perfect for me. I'll update this review if I encounter any untimely rust or other unsatisfactory flaws, but it's been a few months and so far everything has worked out well.
These didn't fit over my normal sized shower curtain rod (brand Briofox from Amazon, I believe) and when smooshed over, they sort of snapped over but left small scratches. I know I can remove the rod's ends, but it's far too difficult to recommend, and the ring should be large enough. At least one of the rings in the pack appeared to be a different size than the others. br>br>Another issue is that they're black, but not particularly matte, and have a slight sheen to them. Still, it's not a major issue. br>br>I'm a frugal individual. They'll do the job, and the scratches and shine won't be noticeable; after all, who looks at a shower curtain? BUT, for a previous curtain rod (also briofox, but nickel), I bought some brushed nickel ones from another seller, and they didn't have the weird snapping/fit issue. Spend a few dollars more and you'll avoid the "Perhaps no one will notice" problem.
These shower curtain liner hooks have made a huge difference in my life. It's super simple to hook the curtain on one side and the liner on the other, and it glides along the curtain rod like a dream. No more fumbling with hooks that get tangled or fall off! Plus, it's attractive. I didn't pay $5, it appears. Anyone looking for simple shower curtain hooks should consider this product.
You advertise this product as easy glide, but it nearly tore my curtains and wouldn't move an inch. I'm not sure why this product failed me.
I'm overjoyed that I found these shower curtain hooks. I like that each curtain and liner has its own side; the curtain and liner are simple to install and hang on the rod. The color was exactly as described, and the metal wasn't flimsy.
I used to despise changing my shower curtain because it required taking down the curtain and the liner and then reinstalling the curtain and the liner. Now all I have to do is take the curtain down and replace it with another curtain. I used to change my bathroom every two weeks but now I can make it look beautiful every week if I feel like it. I absolutely love these hooks, I mean love love love these hooks I'm buying people these hooks for Christmas.
They're extremely simple to put on. Once they're up, having two hooks, one for the outside curtain and one for the clear waterproof curtain on the inside, is convenient. However, EVERY TIME I USE THE SHOWER AND DRAW THE CURTAINS OVER AT LEAST ONE TIME, I HAVE THIS PROBLEM. The inner curtain has two hooks that have come undone. I even went out and bought a new plastic inner curtain, but that didn't help. Unfortunately, because they're so simple to put on, they're also simple to remove and undo.
