Crochet hooks are great for this. It is absolutely wonderful to crochet with this natural jute twine! The twine is strong and durable, so I am going to use it to make bags for the farmer's markets this summer. The plastic bags they use nowadays are abhorrent to me, and I want these crocheted bags to last forever. If you sell a thicker twine like this, I would be very interested to hear about it.

I have been using twine from Home Depot to cover the garden area in the past, but the quality has declined over time. does not hold together when I am tying garden bushes As a gardener, I have used this twine and its heavier 6 ply brother. I think this 3 ply is almost perfect for such a purpose. The majority of the time, it doesn't break, but there are a few weak spots where it breaks without any apparent cause. As a 3-ply twine, this would be ideal for garden use. It is about half the price of the 6 ply twine so it works out well for me. I also like the fact that it is 3 ply instead of 6 ply.

The crochet hook I bought is perfect for the use I have in mind. This thin, delicate object is thin and has a nice finish that makes it look softer than it actually is.
