I used it to wrap my nursery pots for my plants. Since I only had enough fabric to wrap 2 pots and a smaller pot, the distance might not be 164 feet. I recommend it!.

This product emits an unpleasant chemical smell

Do not use indoors or around pets. jute is supposed to be natural but has an awful diesel/gasoline smell. My wife and I have aired ours outside and it is not improving.
I am only keeping it since it will be used for a craft project which will be kept outside.
I would never bring it into my home or around any pets, especially birds and cats. I ask that you carefully read the reviews, this is not an isolated event. It would have been better to check.

I hated it so much that my cat hated it even more

Here's what I think It was used to recover an old scratching post that had been carved to pieces. I liked old posts because they had coarser jute, and my cat liked that material. It is soft and smooth to the touch and after re-adding it 40 minutes later it still feels good My cat was not interested in the old post once I wrapped It is such a pleasure to live and learn. Is there anyone interested in a refurbished scratching post?.

Some people in the past have complained about a bad odor associated with this product. Apparently, it was very mild and went away within Then I made baskets out of it. The product is excellent, and I plan to.

The smell is too much to bear, do not buy for anything inside

Since I received my twine the smell has continued, and I've tried everything to get rid of it, including soaking it in vinegar and letting it sit outside for days. The chemical smell was so unpleasant, that I've not been able to use it yet.
