The items are made of metal and not cheap imitations. A lot like the kind you get at a hardware store, but not as thick as the super thick pipe. I am very pleased with these pipes because of how sturdy they are. Having read the reviews, I know that heavier wall anchors need to be used In the box, you get the plastic ones.
