It's a good quality product, and it weighs just right. It is beautiful, but I could not install it. It was so frustrating to try and try and try for the longest time. As I explained my problem to Amazon, they told me I must have received a defective item. There will be one more sent to me. This one has a better chance of working. A quick update It is my sincere apology to The bracket is in the wrong spot now because I installed it incorrectly. This flat section needs to be pressed against the wall! There is no mention of that in the instructions! this is why all the other people who claim to have had trouble installing it had trouble with it as well. By turning it over and reinstalling it correctly, I was able to fix the problem. I tried to secure it, but it won't work. There is a lot of wobbling. The grip isn't tight enough for me because my hands are too weak. have my handyman take a look at it the next time he comes by.
As far as mounting is concerned, you screw a metal piece into the wall, then install the fixture around it, then tighten the screw, which is supposed to hold the ring in place by applying pressure to the metal piece. Due to the curved shape of the metal piece, as you tighten the screw, the fixture just slides off. My towel ring doesn't work, so I have to return it and put an option in for a new one. I have to cover up two huge holes that have appeared in my bathroom wall. am not sure how other people are installing this item, it is by far the stupidest install I have.
Fit and finish of this mount is superior to my first idea of spray painting the existing ring, and at nearly the same price! After marking the locations of the two screws for the mount, I drilled the holes and installed the screws with the mount in place in a matter of minutes without incident. There is one negative about the ring mount. The hole that holds the ring to the mount is VERY small, thus making it difficult to get it to fit. With a small flathead bit I was able to turn the screw, but it was difficult as the screw was recessed deeper within My struggle led me to mark up the bottom of the ring and put a small scratch on the wall as a result of the small size of the screw. It would be best to have a flathead small enough to work on watches and the like for the ring retention screw. The screw was tightened down by a friend after I borrowed a small enough screwdriver. It has been rock solid since it has been installed for the past month. In summary, we can say that Although this is an excellent ring for the price, we suggest getting or borrowing a small flathead screwdriver for the installation. Otherwise, you may mark up your ring or the wall like I did. This towel ring is a great recommendation for anyone who needs a new one.
There are two little plastic rings along the sides of the metal ring that hold the ring in place. I didn't realize they were there until after I got the ring. The ring could have just been finished, which would have cost much less.

I love how well it matches all the other things in my bathroom and how easy it to install. When I had already installed another item like it, it took me no time. In addition to coloring in the towel ring itself with a sharpie, I added a black ring around both sides of the ring. That was really easy and only took a few seconds, and it looks even more expensive now.
It's so awesome that it has a rubber boot in the toe box The towel is held tight by the finger ring holder so no sounds can be heard when the towel is moved up and down. This is a great towel holder if you're looking for a decent one.
