3/8"
The wood is known as ipe. It's used in wood decking and flooring on occasion. It's a tough wood that comes from South America.
There is no countersink, just a straight clean 3/8" hole, and the screw size is determined by the head that fits into the hole. Then, at the surface, tap in the plug and cut it off.

I rarely write reviews these days unless the product is far superior to the norm. These plugs are far superior to the competition, which I purchased prior to purchasing these. In comparison to the competition, these plugs are pristene. For easy insertion, they have a nice bevel on the bottom. On the outside, they're smooth. They aren't too tall, either, so they don't sit too high above the wood (as the competition does). Finally, these plugs showed up much sooner than expected. Overall, excellent plugs at an excellent price, with prompt delivery. I've purchased over 500 of them and wish I'd known about them sooner.
They have a flat top and a tapered bottom, making them simple to hammer into place. These fit perfectly when I used a 3/8 Forstner bit. It comes highly recommended!.
They are far superior to DeckWise in terms of quality, and I strongly advise you to use them instead of DeckWise.
It was an excellent solution. It was exactly as I had hoped. It was an excellent solution.
Plugs fit snugly in 3/8" counter sunk screw hole. br>Excellent product.
As was to be expected.
Ipe wood plugs are the best! They have tapered edges and all go in straight. There are no problems.
