Used to cover the opening of a septic tank.
I used a wrench with a lot of adjustability.
It will work with a 6" inside opening. If it's going into a pvc pipe, I'm guessing it'll be 6 inches inside, which is a standard size.

You're not sure what else you're looking for? My landscaper cut it down with a mower, so who needs a cap now? I do. Fits perfectly, performs as expected, and is not affected by weather or wind. shine - It's ready to go in the rain or the snow. It's the Caps Postal Service of the United States Postal Service. The landscaping crew, on the other hand, is a different story. I need to speak with those young men.
Although it is labeled as a 6" fitting, the component is only about 6 inches long. 5".
I accidentally hit my other septic cap with the mower, causing a small nick in the top, and big box stores didn't have anything larger than 4", so I went to Amazon and found exactly what I needed, ordered Saturday and had it delivered Monday after work, took out the old one and screwed the new one on, and another project was completed thanks to Amazon.
Big box stores advised me to buy a reducer because I would never be able to find a 6" cap. I went online and ordered something from Amazon. Fast shipping, exactly as described, and perfect fit.
It's made of high-quality materials. It's a 6 inch PVC threaded cap that I'm using on top of a 6 inch PVC schedule 40 piece. Big surprise there ha, but if I ever get the urge to play with my own shit, I believe this cap will make it relatively easy for me to do so.
This clean out plug appears to be sturdy, so I'm hoping it will last a long time, even if the family mows around it. I wish the stickers weren't on the top, but it's only a minor annoyance until I take them off.
I have no idea where I'm going with this. br>br>In my front yard, the plug on what I assume is a sewer cleanout broke, and I just want it covered. br>br>Because the PVC pipe is 6" in diameter, I purchased this plug. The plug is a size 6. It's not going to fit inside the pipe because it's 5" wide, and it's only 5. It will not fit outside the pipe because it is 75" on the inside.
I was concerned that it wouldn't fit. I was concerned about the 6" size listing because the broken one was about 6 1/2 inches long. However, it came out to be the perfect size; I assume these are all standard plumbing sizes. Although the price could have been lower, I am happy with it.
