This is a knockoff of a genuine item
3/5

You should stay away from him. This is what you should buy. Lowes is a great place to compare prices. It is a knock off version of the real thing. If you're interested in the Item #310436 Model #M175XDLF, you can pick it up for 18 dollars. We offer a real master lock at an affordable price. It's a FAKE. It's cheap. I believe that the product is poorly made. The fact that MASTER would sign their name to this is unbelievable. This picture looks like it comes from a foreign country, lol. This was what I bought and immediately returned it when I walked into Lowes and saw what an actual one should look like.

There is a lack of weatherproofing
3/5

While it works as an ordinary padlock, I am not convinced by the "rugged" features, which are really useless. The rubber dial cap and the rubber bumper can be identified in this way. There is nothing more to it than a rubber band that rolls up and down This is trash as a "feature". As the name suggests, this item has a rubber cap that helps make it "weatherproof". There is still trash falling off of the roof. It's still there after I pick it up off the ground and squeeze back the rubber prongs that act as a hinge. Despite being able to snap in place, the dial still does not stay protected. In other words, if this is for your locker at the gym, it will work fine. Just make sure to remove the parts I mentioned first. They will.

It is inferior to the lock
3/5

Locks like this one do not work well. The purpose of buying this is to use this to lock my gate in the winter to allow access for personnel who do not possess our usual locks. There were times when the lock would get stuck, and sometimes, once it was opened, it would not close. The lubricant I sprayed on it was even effective. There is a significant amount of looseness in the shaft. Additionally, the black lines where the numbers are supposed to line up are slightly offset from the center and it makes it hard to see the little black lines. It's also poorly designed when it comes to the rubber pieces. Under no circumstances is it necessary to use force to remove the rubber cover on the bottom. As well, the band that goes around the lock, used to protect it from marking what is used, does not stay in place and is easily rubbed.

Combination lock that is great for outdoor use
5/5

There is a heft to this lock and it is made of brass and stainless steel, which prevents rusting that would otherwise ruin As a result, if you do not use the item often, this lock can be convenient for remembering, since it can be set to your own combination. A great customer service experience with MasterLock makes a big difference.

The lock is not a genuine Master Lock it's a cheap Chinese copy
3/5

I am giving this my first 1 star review ever, first off, this is not the genuine brand Master Lock you normally find in The lock is, in fact, a cheap "Made in China" one. As long as you hardly need to use it, it'll do the job. You should not open it every day if you are planning to use it every day. It is extremely difficult to turn the dials, even with my finger nails. I have tried rolling them with my thumbs and even my fingernails. It is a very tough/stiff material. After spraying WD-40, I wiped the surface You should massage them for about 40 seconds to loosen them. I was not helped by it. I didn't post it because I know I would be called down here at 4am to unlock it because no one would be able to open it. We are replacing the lock on our front gate for the truck yard. My attempts to save a few bucks were unsuccessful, and I once again learned that we get what we The thing is, I'm an experienced mechanic who has worked for 16+ years rigging and repairing things. However, I never succeeded to fix them all myself. It is not a product I would recommend Returning it or giving it to someone I dislike is on my to-do list. I believe what I am saying, but you must read other reviews to verify it.

There is no go with all show
3/5

Brass locks like this one are heavy and feel sturdy, but that's not all they're made of. A thin rubber flap on the bottom will break off, a rubber bumper in the center is nothing more than a black rubber band that rests in a notch, and all of these pieces are made of flimsy rubber. The slide makes a full circle. I don't feel that the shackle on this padlock is as sturdy as others. There are better comparable products out there, so I do not believe the program function is as good as the function of your rival program. Returning it the same day it was received was easy.

A solid lock of impressive quality
4/5

There's no doubt this lock is built like a beast. I'm pleasantly surprised by how solid it is. Although I'm used to a Master Lock, I find this one to be even more secure. It is very easy to use the combination dial. I would like to mention that the little rubber cover on the bottom has a tendency to fall off, but I do not think that is much of a problem. The cooler I use is a Yeti Tundra 65. While there is a little play due to the shank being just a bit too long for the cooler, this simply means that the cooler can be opened just under a quarter inch while it is I do not believe that this allows access to the cooler or removal of the steel security brackets on the side. It works.

There is a leak in the rubber tumbler cover
3/5

There is a problem with reattaching the tumbler cover after its first use because it falls off the first time. It's either better to come up with a better design or to not This cover has no purpose, and it is misleading to suggest it does.
