I need to set the codes of more than one lock. Does the key to set the codes work on more than one lock?

They call what you are calling a key that I call a setting tool. They only placed one bump on my lock, so I feel confident that they must replace it with the same tool every time. Our experience is that it is a good lock as long as you follow the instructions regarding setting your code.

Thank you for your question. We receive one reset key per ?

It is either a counterfeit or just a cheap copy
3/5

It is either a counterfeit or just a cheap copy. Since I've been using locks like these for a few years, I have used hundreds of them. The construction documents that I use are like candy to me, since I own a construction company. A quick google search reveals that it is identical in size and appearance to the ones I typically get at Home Depot, but it is a cheaper alternative. It is difficult to spin the combination wheel. When I took my bolt cutters that aren't even strong enough to cut through the ones I usually get, they stood up to the task. The item may not be a counterfeit, but a genuine copy. There's no way to know for sure, you'd have to check the product number with the one you expect. The short answer is that no matter what, these are cheap, and in my opinion useless.

This was an extremely disappointing experience
3/5

In the first use of the lock, I decided to secure the cable of my riding lawn mower on 5/09/18. This was again used on May 21, May 30, and June 7. A lock on the door would not open on 6/17, however. It took dozens of inputs and spinning the wheels in both directions to get the combination. Even though we had a lot of rain in Maryland during this time period, I bought a brass lock because I thought it would stand up to the weather better. My final attempt was to use WD40 on the lock, and after a half hour of futzing around, I managed to open it. I figured I'd better not use this lock again if it would only take a little rain to disable it. A weatherproof padlock with a keyed combination from another company was installed. Master Lock products will not be purchased in the future.

Do you know who Master Lock is? Master Flop, that's more like it! The weatherproofing does not hold up to the elements The design of the product is flawed
3/5

By the third thunderstorm, you could tell that even though item description stated it could be used outside, this product wasn't designed for that environment. Since there was rusting on the numbers, turning and unlocking them was difficult. Only having had this lock for a couple weeks, it helps to know that it has a good reputation. It has become my expectation that Master Lock brands will deliver superior quality. Also, the numbers on the bottom of the lock make it difficult to use if you are trying to unlock something which is covered by your waist. I'd imagine a chunky man in skimpy pajamas trying to open the rarely used side gate at 1 AM and cursing the Amazon gods for sending a lock that not only rusted when it wasn't supposed to, but is In such a small area, who would have thought it would make sense to make the numbers the same color as the lock to improve The problem is further compounded by the fact that the materials used in the build reflect light. As I write this, I was feeling that it would be nice not to have to keep track of a key for something multiple people need access to. There may still be a need for Master Lock, but the company is clearly not up to the job. Currently, I'm researching smart locks to continue down the smart device rabbit hole further. If you'll excuse me, I have more research to do.

You should not buy a new one
3/5

Newer ones do not have brass mechanisms. In the present edition of this product, brass is not the sole component. Since I have been buying these locks for 10 years, I have become accustomed to them. It does not / will not oxidize to a point of being useless in a marine environment since they are all brass. Newer ones (ordered January 2021) have clearly aluminum (or worse, galvanized) internal mechanisms-white aluminum or zinc oxide is dripping from around the numbers and the edges of the case after just one month and two months to go. In comparison to an older lock of the same model, used adjacently to the current one, no damage is evident after more than ten years.

This lock was built on a reliable workhorse, but its makers have modernized it into something useless. I would not recommend buying.

Owners of Yeti should read this
5/5

This lock will fit the Yeti, but the lock has to be installed upside down in order to be accessible. There is no doubt that a cooler alone weighs at least 20 pounds and you are adding another 20-pound bag on top of that A heavy cooler might have more than 30 pounds of drinks and ice. It would be difficult to lift, hold, and enter a combination at the same time.

Heavy cooler owners should install the lock.

That's just junk
3/5

Locks like these are typical of the ones manufactured by Masterlock these days. Beware of this deceptive strategy to make it seem like a brass lock, but the lock is really only painted aluminum to make it look like it is Check out this video on youtube showing kids being able to defeat these poorly designed ABUS is the software that I will use.

Before buying, make sure the hole size of your gate or whatever it may be is within the standard shackle diameter
5/5

I immediately realized this gate latch could not accommodate the diameter of the shackle. While it looks well made, it is far too large As such, it is not my intention to denigrate the product, but rather to tell people to measure the hole they want to use a padlock with and then find the right lock for the hole. A lot of sites allow you to find out what diameter the shackle is. The one I need is smaller (the one I need is 3/16"). Therefore, I had to pay a small amount of change for a lock I wasn't able to use, and had to research and locate another lock. Since I've already opened the package (using scissors was to make it easier), I'm not going to return it. I'll just give it away to someone who needs it when I find them.

The same lock I used to lock my suitcases while in the U

S. There are five air forces in the United States. Once I saw this was available on Amazon, I could not believe what I was seeing. Back in the 1980s, I was in the Air Force and was assigned to nuclear alert duties. In four years, I had one of these locks and never had a single issue with it. It was the one I had to return at the end of my tour and I have always wanted one commercially available. My old Air Force buddy sent me a link to this article, and I had never seen it before. My code has even been reset to my old settings. The ones we used are exactly the same. To open one, you have to use a lot of force, and my advice is to use as much as you can. The process of getting one open if you forget the code takes HOURS.
