You only hold it down for a fraction of a second, not five.
The battery lasts a long time, perhaps a month or more. I only use it for the gym, so it's not a big deal.

In all seriousness, while this is a good lock, it will not protect your most valuable items because any bolt cutter will slice through it like butter on a warm knife. Fingerprint unlocks the lock quickly and easily without the use of cumbersome combinations or keys. I would purchase this item again.
I used this to lock my fridge in the garage after the seller vanished and reappeared under a different brand. It's now refusing to open. The light changes to blue (unlock indicator), and I hear "gears turn," but the door remains locked. I'm capable of cutting off, but it's nonsense. I'd reach out to them to see if they could help, but they're no longer available.
My daughter loves it for her school bike because it has a long battery life and is simple to use. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I still like the lock and stand by my 5-star rating, but I received a card offering a free second lock in exchange for submitting a review with a photo, and the website listed on the card is no longer active. "Qilmy. vip".
m. , the machine stops working. a period of twelve months I've had two of these locks, and both of them have stopped opening reliably on demand when I use them on my gym locker. When it's working, it's great, but you don't want to be in a situation where the locker's lock has to be cut off by the Fitness Center staff.
It worked perfectly when I first got the lock. It was simple to set up and I was able to use it in the gym. It won't open after a few months of being in my gym bag and not being used. It doesn't seem to recognize any of my fingerprints. I recharged it quickly because the battery is capable of holding a charge. I'm unable to reset it because it no longer recognizes my print. This is inconvenient because it appears to be brand new. It was purchased in June, and I have only used it three times since then. 4 times.
I installed the lock on my work locker, and it's incredibly simple to use; I programmed it to read 5 of my fingers, so all I have to do is press my finger on the pad, and the lock pops open; it's been a month and I haven't had to recharge the battery; I have to place my finger on the top part of the reader pad for it to accept, so it won't accept fakes; I have to place my finger on the top part of the reader pad for.
ONE AND ONLY PROBLEM If you want to use it after swimming or doing anything else that involves water, it will still work, but it will be a pain. There is also a back door that can be opened if necessary, which is brilliant. They do warn you about watered fingerprints, and it's not a problem with the product; it's just your finger.
