Leg caps - These are heavy duty, non-scratching steel leg caps that are pressure fit. A certain amount of force is needed to install. It is a good idea to clean all dirt, debris, and rust from the cup area prior to installation. For hitting the bottom of the feet cap into place, use a rubber mallet or piece of wood. Use only a screwdriver and not It may be helpful to use a piece of tape to hold the glide level on the cup

Questions & Answers

Are your items heavy duty? If so, how so? What is the best way to determine ?

Despite their thinness, they have some weight to them due to the thick plastic. Rather than being flimsy and flexible, other glides seem almost like you can squeeze them together -- It is not possible for you to get these.

Would these work to reduce my concrete's rust?

Your furniture is rusting because it is made of wrought iron. To prepare the chair or table for the glides, you would have to clean the cup area and paint any metal exposed before installing the glides. In the case of not doing this, the rust will continue to run out and leave behind visible

Can Metalcraft patio furniture be used with feet?

The furniture I have is metal, but I don't know the brand. They fit perfectly on my chairs too and look exactly like the ones I have on my desk.

Does the interior of my chair legs have a 1 1/2 inch measurement? Will my vinyl board flooring be compatible with the chair legs?

With a leg length of 1 1/2", they should work great. Vinyl boards are made of heavy plastic and should work well with these.

You can rely on these gliders to These are definitely an exception to my strict rule of not gushing over products, even if they are patio furniture glider cups
5/5

As I read the reviews of some fit issues, I was a bit concerned, but once I saw the cup insert itself, I figured out a quick way to install the cup. It is true that It is not the case that all wrought iron furniture feet are the same, but the majority are of a standard design, so this Using a pair of pliers that I could adjust, I repositioned the tube When you wiggle the handles to make the grip part wider, the grip part becomes With the tips of my pliers, I snugged in the glider foot on the other side after partially installing the glider foot on one side. Despite the glider cup's top edge fitting into the interior being beveled, the plastic snaps into the foot with minimal pressure since the edges are beveled. It took only about 15 minutes to install the 24 glider cups with the help of my puppy, who was inspecting each foot as I went. My secret to removing the old white cups was that I used a metal cork screw that you find in wine bottle openers. I inserted it and the old white cups fell My favorite way to relax is with a glass of wine on the deck, so since I already have the opener out, I'll go open it.

An easy installation method and a good design The plan was to live off of savings for a few months, but it failed
3/5

Those worked really well on a pair of vintage wrought iron patio furniture sets with worn-out cushions The gliders glide outward. Thanks to the lip that covers the rim of the metal foot, I like this design better than the original white glides. I installed the new glide by removing the old one with a screwdriver (the directions say to use pliers, but I used a screwdriver). I then positioned it on the foot and tapped it a few times with a rubber mallet to seat it. The guide should be snug, but if it is loose, then apply a single layer of black electrical tape around the edge that fits inside In order to install it as usual, simply fold the excess tape up into the glide and smooth it out. Three out of five times, this fix was successful for me. After a few months, this is what I found After a few months, the glides began falling out of the wrought iron furniture feet, even though the furniture was kept under a shaded and dry Several of the glides have failed because of the tape on the edges. It was a big.

Excellent product, but be aware of the difficulty of installing it
5/5

The inserts that I purchased to replace our 15-year-old ones are very nice, and I am very happy with them. As a result, the fit is tight, which is necessary for the item to remain securely in place. prepared to put in some time and effort to get them to work. Though I am unable to speak to the durability, it appears that they are high-quality and will last.

Installation A rusty pocket within the chair legs will prevent a new mount from fitting into the chair. No amount of pounding and cussing will remove the rust. A cone-shaped grinder drill insert, such as the one I have in my photo, would be a great investment. When you run this around the inside after you remove the old insert, it really helps to get you ready to put in the new insert. There might not be a need for this if yours are not rusted. Be sure to spray some silicon lubricant into the pocket before inserting the new pad. If you are putting in a new insert, be careful it does not turn sideways. An even amount of gas must be injected. The majority of them I was able to insert part of the way, then use my hands to press it as far into the hole I drove it home with a rubber mallet once it was mostly screwed in, but still even. Give yourself a chance to develop your own technique by taking your time. When you do so, you can make reasonable time on the project. I completed my project in about 40 minutes with 32 of these.

It is impossible for it to We repainted the wrought iron patio set that we had had for 15 years, only to realize the glides were missing, which meant we could not install the set on our newly built deck without damaging There were a couple of issues with these glides, however, and we could not get them to fit correctly
3/5

They had to be returned after we tried everything. It was really hard to find the perfect replacements - then I came up with the following A one-year supply of Forever Glides The 1/2" Wrought Iron Glides are made from wrought iron This package contains 24 packs The color black.

ACROSS THE BOARD I HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANY OF THEM WORKING
3/5

Spend an hour wasting time It is impossible to believe how frustrated you are. A waste of money on 15 cents worth of The fact that Amazon has listed this as an "Amazon Choice" is utterly shameful. The 4+ star rating, without a doubt, was achieved with artificial means. Let's not fool ourselves, people. I have never had a product from Amazon that was more than ZERO STARS

This is by FAR the worst product that I have The problem is that they are As the thin lip barely fits inside a 1, it is much larger than a 5" weld cup, they rapidly flare out to get much wider, and the nibs are made of the hardest plastic known to man, so pressing them will almost never break them off as you do. The only thing that keeps happening is that you keep getting whacked with the rubber mallet It is a mole comedy to see one side pop up and the other pop As time passes, that thin edge gets more and more broken up, until it is completely.

They are Chinese junk for less than $1

00 each and are cheap. THEY WORKED ON AN OLD BROWN, THEN I TRIED AN OLD TRUCK. I must say that this was a rip-off. The 28th was a paid day. They are Chinese junk for less than $1. 00 each and are cheap. I recently tried installing them on an older brown Jordan patio set, and two-thirds of the panels so far have collapsed under installation pressure using a rubber protector and are not usable. BUY THESE PRODUCTS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THEY ARE WRONG.

I could not get my chairs to work
3/5

As a result of using calipers, I measured the openings of the metal cups on my wrought iron chair I thought these 1 were pretty good, so I thought 47" was good. Slides with a diameter of 5" should be compatible. My mistake was I thought I had a solution. These glides were impossible to put They were hard to soften with hot water even after I softened them with that method. My solution was to cut (4) equidistant slots into the side of these glides, which then allowed me to attach them. It would therefore be a good idea to ensure that your cup has an opening greater than 1 cup. You will struggle like I did if you do not measure 47".
