You could do this for a more secure hold, but you can often get away with drilling a small pilot hole and nailing it down with a small diameter nail. Construction adhesives have also been used by others.

Gap is about 1/2 inch wide.
On the bottom, there would be a 1/8" gap that could be caulked. Alternatively, a 1/8" wood strip could be used to fill the gap.

It is exactly as described and effectively conceals the end of our kitchen tiles. Because our higher tiles stop short of the threshold space, I wish the thicker side was larger than the thinner side, but it still works. It was a simple solution to a dreadful situation!.
Only 3 feet were required. However, the quality of the product is excellent, with hard oak that took stain beautifully. I predrilled the nail holes and hammered it in place, and it perfectly bridged the gap between the tile and the carpet. That's a lot more elegant than those metal strips. I would suggest it!.
This is ideal for bridging the gap between rooms with tile and vinyl flooring. This product is superior to others. It's easy to stain. Solid. It's lovely. Above all, unlike another item we purchased online from the local hardware store, it is straight. Crooked. They have great deals on vinyl flooring and offer a veteran's discount, so I'm not going to mention their name.
It comes with an angled cut, so sanding will be necessary to make it more rounded. Also, it was a breeze to complete.
I simply stained it to match my door and had it cut by my husband. I wish I had placed an order for one sooner!.
Because this is unfinished wood, you'll need to stain and seal it before using it. This should be stated in the description, in my opinion. It's deceptive, and it's not the information I was looking for.
Everything was exactly as described in the description. My kitchen/dining room tile floor was not the same height as the living room carpet, so I had to replace it. The issue was resolved as a result of this transition. It looks great because I stained it the same color as the cabinets and glued it to the tile with construction adhesive.
This is a solid wood piece that has a neutral finish. It was simple to cut, and the finished product looks great.
