I bought these to hang near the bottom of my front door so that I could see light coming in. These worked great; I doubled them up in a few places where they were wider and they still hold. I could feel a draft next to the door before they were installed, but there was none after they were installed. The ease of installation and low cost make these a winner in my book!.
The front door has been nicely restored. The heater no longer needs to run as frequently.
I had no idea these things existed until I went looking for a way to close some small gaps between my front and back doors. These were found for the same price as others, but there were only two of them available. They're simple to size and cut, and they stick well. They also appear to be fairly long-lasting. A straightforward solution to a potentially vexing issue.
This isn't a zero. As shown in the image, it is 6 inches thick. They're more in the style of. a maximum of 25 inches.
These are identical in texture and appearance to the ones that came with my jeld- wen door to the outside My door frame was extremely crooked in my 100-year-old house, so I shimmed and adjusted as much as I could, but I could still see light under and above the two seals that came with the door, so I purchased this 32-seal mega pack. Because a four-pack in the store was the same price, I'll have spares, but I'll have more doors to install, so it'll work out. These are very sticky and pleasant to the touch. Although it is a "Made in China" item, it serves its purpose.
The adhesive is especially good because it stuck to a cold surface with ease. I had a particularly wide crack near the top of my door, so I used two wedges, one on top of the other, to completely seal it. There is no longer any breeze coming in because the door now fits snugly. I figured it was a no-brainer buy for the price and quantity I received.
My door's seals did not meet correctly in the corners, allowing light and air to pass through. All I had to do was clean the inside frame with Windex and then easily place these pads. They sealed the door without difficulty, and they have remained in place for several weeks without popping off.
A draft was reported by my tenant. I walked over to the door and added these. They are extremely effective. no draft.
