I'm using it on the door to my bathroom, and it's great. It comes with the necessary hardware to mount it on the wall. Rather than using the stickers that come with it, I would strongly advise you to do so.
Has anyone put it through its paces on a hefty door?

It is a STRONG product. I was hesitant after reading a few reviews. But, to my delight, I was surprised. It was also very simple to set up. Another feature is that it allows you to screw it in or use the adhesive option for installation. We went with an adhesive that is extremely strong. The magnet does a good job of keeping things together. The magnet's strength is determined by how it is connected. br>br>After being so pleased with the first pair, I decided to buy another. The outcome was identical. This product is well-made and does the job, so I would recommend it without reservation. One door requires a gentle pull due to the strong hold, but I don't mind. br>br>I hope my comments are helpful to anyone thinking about buying this door stop.
I tried the door wedges for kids and they ruined one of my doors because we forgot it was there (it happens when you're a busy parent). Because I didn't want to drill holes in my door, we installed the product at the top of the back door with only the provided tape. It's done a fantastic job so far! The 3M foam tape provided as an adhesive tape has quickly become my best friend. I've used the extra pads to install other child-proof items, and it's been a parent's dream come true.
My mother lives in a senior facility and has a very heavy apartment door that closes behind her as she tries to enter her room with her walker. I knew the concept of this magnetic door holder would work if I screwed it into the door/wall/baseboard, etc. , but I couldn't drill, so I had to rely on the 3M stickers that came with the door stopper. They didn't work at first, which was understandable given the weight of the door. I did, however, apply more pressure to the sticker that I placed on both the baseboard and the door at the same time and held it in place for about 5 minutes. It had an effect. My mother was told not to use it for 24 hours, but she has been able to keep her door open while using her walker for more than a week. Even if you must use the stickers, I strongly recommend this product. They do their job well, and the door stopper is of good quality.
The installation was extremely simple, and the adhesion was extremely strong. They have screws for various wall types, but I only needed the super strong adhesive stickers. The magnets are also powerful, but not excessively so. I almost didn't buy it because other reviews said it was difficult to disassemble, but that was not the case for me. I simply jerk it hard enough to detach it. When my grandsons try to close the doors but are unable to do so, it brings me great joy. It keeps them from slamming their little fingers together and possibly locking themselves out of their rooms. I bought six of them and put them on the front door, back door, and four of the bedrooms (as I previously stated). They're both very active young men). This product has exceeded my expectations!.
The problem was that every now and then a gust of wind would blow through, causing nerves to fray. I didn't want to drill holes in the floor because we have tile. These are ideal, and the adhesive disks are so strong that I feel like I'm pulling up a tile to remove the stop from the floor. No more slamming doors in the face of strong winds.
The magnet is extremely powerful, and I'm worried that my children will damage the bathroom door by trying to pull it away from the wall with the doorknob. The door bends and twists as it is opened and closed. We certainly don't mind if the magnet isn't strong enough! A small sticker stuck between the magnet and the door's metal piece reduced the magnetic attraction just enough for it to work. Unfortunately, the sticker was removed, so I'll have to come up with another solution.
Because of the over-the-door rack my husband installed, our bedroom door always slid shut. He uses that rack to store his hoodies and hats. I tried to keep the door open with my own magnetic system, but it didn't work. I was intrigued by the magnetic door lock and decided to give it a shot. I put it on the floor so it wouldn't get in the way. I'm ecstatic about the outcome! It stays open for a long time and is simple to close! I like that it can be installed without drilling into the door or the floor because it uses adhesive. It's also attractive. I let the door lock sit for 48 hours rather than the recommended 24 hours before operating it; however, I'm not sure if this system would work for extremely heavy doors.
If you want to hang it on the wall, you'll need to use different hardware. The design with a single stud is ineffective. Drilling a hole and tightening it down will cause it to spin. When you tighten the threads with pliers, the deforming metal does not completely plug the hole, making it impossible to tighten. When you use the three drywall plastic anchors, they don't grab the drywall well enough and slide out when the door is pulled away from the magnet. Otherwise, it's fine, but this has caused me a great deal of aggravation, and my drywall now has large holes in it.
