This guide fits under the trim at the bottom of the pocket door and can point either toward the opening or toward the pocket. The trim will not extend into the opening because it is applied after this section.
No way. On both sides of the door, small moldings will be installed in the jam. In order to install this piece, these must be removed.

Simply use the low-cost white plastic slanted-back chair. pieces for a ramp Cut a notch in the back of your casing pieces. Put the plastic ones on top of them and you're done. This guide's thickness in relation to the door cannot be adjusted. I had originally attached this guide to my pocket door restoration project because I was more confident in the white plastic individual set's ability. I was very pleased with them on this.
It's used to take the place of the low-cost. This was a great read. It's used to swap out the Johnson pocket door kit's cheap exposed guides. It's simple to put together and hides behind the molding. It's worth noting that it's only recommended for new pocket door installations. Otherwise, in order to properly install this, the existing trim would have to be removed.
When I saw these, I decided to give them a shot on one of my doors. They're incredibly durable! I've now made this guide the default for all of my pocket doors.
These are intended to be installed beneath the subfloor and behind the trim. They won't work if you don't have access to that area. They're fantastic when they're installed properly. Much better than the ones that protrude from the opening of the door.
This guide was ideal for about half of my home's pocket doors. In fact, I'm about to place a second order. A 1/2" clearance between the bottom of the door and the top of the surface where you're mounting it is required, according to another reviewer. That's exactly what I had with a couple of doors that go over uneven tile, and it was a far better guide in that spot than the other kind (the ones with two pieces that mount with one piece on each side of the door). You will not be happy with this guide unless you have at least 1/2" clearance to mount it. If you follow my instructions, it should work for you just as well as it did for me.
It accomplishes the task at hand. It may be more difficult to install depending on your installation requirements. I was dealing with older, damaged casings in my situation.
These are fantastic for keeping pocket doors in good working order. Installation of the nails is very simple. To keep the ends from rubbing against the door, I needed to bend them slightly.
This little guy was used to replace a pocket door kit's door guide. This is a much better design than the one that came with the door kit.
