My home is littered with low-cost folding doors. If you have any, you know they're made of glued sawdust, which means the pivot points can easily fall through the door's hole. I've experimented with various glues as well as wood filler on numerous occasions. I was so fed up with one of my doors that I simply removed it and tossed it in the garage. In a nutshell, these brackets work like a charm. br>br>Buying a new door of higher quality is fairly expensive, and if your house is full of them, it becomes extremely expensive. br>br>In a nutshell, these brackets work like a charm. But there's one thing to keep in mind. You're sacrificing a small amount of clearance by slipping them over the outside of the door. Multiply that by two if you need brackets at the top and bottom. If your door only just fits, you may be able to make it work by removing the top metal track, installing it on the top of the door with hardware, moving the door track back into place, and screwing the track back into the jamb. This isn't a flaw in the product; it's simply the way things are. Regardless, this product performs admirably. I purchased a large quantity for all of my house's folding doors. If anyone else has the same issues with their folding doors as I did, I will gladly recommend this product.
and discovered that you can get all of the parts you need from Amazon. Simply remove the hardware from your doors and place an order for a variety of repair parts that appear to be in good working order. Bazinga! It happened a few days later. Your folding doors have been repaired and are now operational. br>br>These plates, which have a small flange visible after installation, repair doors that are sagging from the hinge pin side. Paint it white if it bothers you; we don't mind. Customer is pleased. br>br>Be sure to order the correct width; there are two standard door thicknesses (both of which we carry).
The wood splitting or sinking in on bifold doors is a very common problem. I'm not sure why the manufacturers don't put in a little more wood and make a slightly better door. The bottom of my door had sunk in after only two months. This completely resolved the issue, and I anticipate that it will be necessary to repair other doors in the future.
This product did a fantastic job. The bi-fold door has a hole in it. The fold door was smashed. I simply had to place this over the hole and secure it with one screw before inserting the pivot. The other option would have been to buy a new bi-plane. door that can be folded.
Our folding doors were made of particle board and were hollow in the middle for a low price. The roller was supposed to be held in place by a hole, but it was blown out. We'd been dealing with decommissioned closet doors for a year before I finally decided to take on this project, and who knew it'd be so simple? The bracket simply slides over the hole and is held in place by a single screw. After that, simply insert the roller into the metal bracket hole and close the door. All you need is a philips screwdriver and possibly a hammer to complete the process, which took about 10 minutes and was extremely intuitive. We now have closet doors and don't have to look at all of the junk in our closet!.
I was about to swap out a bi-fold door with a single-fold door. Where the top and bottom pegs were, a fold door had cracked. I came across these brackets and thought to myself, "What have I got to lose?" The brackets had to be fine-tuned to fit the door, which was slightly wider due to the split in the wood. They worked perfectly once they were installed, and my doors now function perfectly.
These may not fit over the top of your door if the top of your door is damaged (which is why you're buying them). The failure of your door is due to the fact that the top is made of press board, which expands and makes it difficult for these to slip over the top. I was able to make it work, but I had to use a clamp to compress the top of the door for a while before I could get it to fit.
The door was restored to look and function like new, and it was simple to install. I didn't have to drill any additional holes in the frame. If your door keeps falling off the track, this is something I would suggest.
