With that in mind, I will start. Obviously, I can't speak for every door, but if you look at my pictures, I took, it looks like one of my old channels has a groove on the bottom because my door is not completely There are not enough screws supplied to attach the new channel to the bottom of my door using the supplied screws. As a result, I had to get screws which were about one quarter inch longer from the local hardware store. Some people have said that you should prepare yourself before going to a wedding In any case, it is not true unless you were trying to install it by hand. The screws they supply are self-tapping so if you use a power screwdriver, they will go right through the aluminum pan into your door without requiring any preparation. Make sure there are no holes to drill. It was a simple matter to use self-tapping screws in 1 inch #8. All four sections of my door fit my 16-foot doorway, so I used all four. It is 5'. I had a pretty easy time putting it together. Gray tape held the channels in place until I could secure them with the gorilla tape. I had to feed the weatherstripping in between the door track and the wall because I raised the door high enough. As you can see in the pictures, I was able to feed it between the wall and the track. The first half went nice and easy for me, but as I got to the halfway mark, I had to push a little bit into it and then stretch it out at the other end Consequently, it took about 30 minutes to install the bottom weatherstripping in In the end, the deformities in the packaging did not seem to be a problem when it came to installing the weatherstripping. Before I installed it, I unrolled the rolled up cover and let it sit at 70° for about an hour. Some gaps are still present between the ground and the bottom of the door. As I tried adjusting the tracking on my garage door opener, it did not fix the problem, so I have to check that the metal track that overhangs in front on each side of the door from the bottom is not coming in contact with any other part of the garage or the garage door mechanisms. Overall, it was worth the purchase price to be able to replace the weatherstripping myself. It was also cheaper than paying someone to come out and do it.
I have been looking for something like this for a long time. A sturdy aluminium base and a rubber seal that seems to be of high Because the metal pieces don't have holes, but they come with self-tapping screws, so that isn't an issue. You must slide the seal all the way down since it is a bit tedious. It seems like an excellent product in the end.
Although it would have been easier to have someone else do this for me, I was able to install this myself without much difficulty. They should not have holes in their foot frames. My screws were driven into the holes I drilled. While the rubber piece fits through the frame without a problem, despite the fact that there are multiple pieces, it goes through with no problems. The situation is not that serious. Despite all of this, there was still a small gap in one place, but that was due to the slightly bent shape of the door. As it happened, I bent it back pretty much to solve the problem. All in all, it's a fantastic product. I highly recommend it. thing I could think of to improve it would be to sell a 16-inch HDTV A 10 ft version of the frame and a one piece frame would be a nice feature, but then shipping would be costly.
My installation was easy, I applied a bead of silicone caking to each piece so they would stay in place while I screwed them in. On the underside of the metal, there is an indented channel for guiding the screws in, which makes it easier to center the pieces on the door's underside. one problem I had was the same as those that other reviewers have stated, the rubber seal that comes with the metal bars is a terrible design. A seal warps every four feet as it travels length-wise along the metal bars, and then it wraps around the end of the bar and back again.
