As of yet, there is no stencil, however after determining the distances from the top hole, the center of the peep hole is 2 7/16 inches and the bottom is 4 1/4 inches. For the top and bottom holes there are three holes of 3/16 inch diameter each as the tube goes through the door. In order to fit the peep hole, the hole needs to be 1/2 inch wide. You say to use 3/16 drill bits for the screws in your instructions. Two screws come in your package, the other two coming in another package. I think this is a good idea for installing the knocker, but you need to explain how to apply it. It is necessary to use a bigger drill bit in order to complete this process. My favorite part of the brass door knocker is the design. You should have the directions clearly marked on the package, though The screws are on the inside.

It is standard to have a 1/2" drill bit for the peephole part, but I have to point out that I do not have one. I bought this because I wanted a peephole on my metal front door because it does not have a window. I also got to annoy the tenant I was evicting while he was cheating on his girlfriend with all the drilling. The knocker looks great on the outside, and just about the same size as my old knocker that was just a knocker, so it covered the outline of it very well. Anyway, yes this was relatively easy to install, and the knocker looks great on the outside.

Our wedding gift was a solid brass knocker with our name engraved on it, given to us over 20 years ago. As part of our move, we decided to have it removed from the front door of the home from which we moved, and to L-O-W. offered me a door knocker as my very first purchase The holes in S didn't match the shape of S. In order to find another one, I began searching. I found this one to be suitable. We have an old one with the words "MADE IN SPAIN" on it. However, this knocker is not the same one, but it is from a mold that is very similar to the old brass knocker, as it matches the faded outline mark of the old brass knocker to a T, and the holes line up.

In order to force the standoffs through the drill holes in your door, an assembly has standoffs which act as posts. It turned out the holes for my old knocker were 1/8" farther apart. Although I hoped this knocker would fit like my old one, I had to plug one of the holes and drill a new one just above it to make the new one fit perfectly. We are very pleased with the new knocker. It looks fantastic and is easy to use. My new water pump feels very solid, and I expect it to last at least as long as the one it replaced, which had corroded after 20 years of exposure to the outdoors.

I really liked this knocker (insert Young Frankenstein joke here). It appears to be very durable, very shiny, and heavy. The knock is so loud, you can hear it in every corner of I liked how my front door looked after it was painted.
