It would not be a good idea to use them outside since they might rust inside.
It's been about 5 months since they were installed. There is no rust on them and they look
Some times it is necessary to use a longer screw in the top hinge to pull the cabinet door upwards so the strike plate will line up with the hole on the cabinet door. To ensure that you hit the framing and not only the sheetrock, drill the screw into the screw hole closest to the center of the door jamb.

The project is to change all of my polished brass doorknobs in my home to satin nickel. The actual result is Until now, I hadn't realized how much polished brass hardware I have in my home besides door knobs. The outcome extremely happy with the choice! There is absolutely nothing to complain about in terms of these hinges. It will take me 34 hours to replace the hardware on 34 doors. In the beginning, I had a three-part project - We ordered a pack of hinges from the big box store nearby to check the It was mortifying to think what the cost would be for three hinges at $8 each I was searching for these until I found them. I now have beautifully clean, shiny satin nickel hinges everywhere there were once ugly, tarnished, poorly painted brass hinges. After buying two packs of 50 hinges, my cabinets and shelves are now looking beautiful, clean, and shiny. The hinges on these cabinets are awesome! Solidly packaged, easy to set up, and well packaged. If you have lots of hinges that have to be replaced, this is a must.
After reading some reviews, I was initially hesitating to order these hinges due to some negative feedback. That was a smart move on my part. It took only two days for the Kesler hinges to reach me The two sheets are folded in half and lined up next to the screws so they will fit in the package. If there are a few very small scratches on that part, it's on the part that goes against the door, so that Despite the fact that they were relatively easy to replace, the door and hinges did not have to be removed. began in the middle and completed one at a time. Highly recommended, very much cheaper than your local store. Here is a comparison of before and after. Those old dirty brass hinges at the top are gross. Located in the middle is a Kesler hinge that was just installed. It's amazing what a difference makes!.
There was a small, tightly sealed container where these hinges were packaged The screws are packed in a plastic bag along with the box. Besides being in perfect condition, the hinges were also in excellent Nothing wrong with the metal no scratches, bends, or marks. This is standard thickness, as one would expect. Screws of the standard size are used to install The screws are said to be too short by some other reviewers It should be noted that this is a standard screw size, and you should expect them to send the standard size screw not longer than the standard screw. If you are uncomfortable with the standard screws, then get longer screws. There are 3 screws per hinge but there are only 2 screws in the bolt hole Secondly, you shouldn't hang off your doors with two hinges and three screws for each hinge. The side of a hollow core or solid core door should be able to hold its weight without issues. However, if you want to hang off your doors or have children that might swing on them, use longer screws. In my case, I did NOT remove or attempt to remove the pin. There was no need for me to do so. In order to measure the new doors, I used the slots of the old hinges on the door frames. Since I was replacing old doors in my house, I measured the corresponding slots on As soon as I applied the new hinges to the frames, I made my son hold the new slots I drilled into the door up to the new hinges. Thus, the hinges don't need to be removed. My first purchase consisted of a set of 18 and I will buy this same brand if I need more down the road (no matter how many I need). Also, I bought a hinge jig from that I used to cut out the slots for the hinges with my router, and the hinges fit perfectly with the template-aside from the mess of cutting out the slots - Using my slot cutter, I cut slots. The machines were manufactured correctly, so I'm confident they are good. It is highly recommended that if you own a router you use a jig for making hinge slots for doors. Great time saver and I love how well it works.
Our home was in need of outdated brass hinges, so we bought these hinges to replace them. I can clearly see that these Kesler hinges are worth the price they cost and they appear to be the exact same size as the 25-inch versions A set of hinges I am replacing is over a year old. I mostly just swap out the old for the new door with very little fiddling with the mortises before installation. The preferred tools to use are To remove the screws holding the hinge on, use a cordless drill, a small, sharp wood chisel to clean the mortise, and a trimming hammer to gently tap the new hinge into its position. Put a little duct tape over the face of the hammer to prevent scratches on the It is heavier than it seems to be a box of 50 hinges. Precautions should be taken.
Despite some reviewers' complaints, this is an essential feature in my opinion. The hinge is heavy duty and of high quality. When operating, there are reports of it sticking or making a sound. You are looking at a pin hinge, not a ball bearing. We replaced the old paint covered brass builder grade hinges that were installed in our "custom" home with the new oil-filled hinges. These are so much nicer than the old paint-covered brass builder grade hinges. 70 of them have been bought and not a single problem has occurred. As far as their size is concerned, the screws are the same as those used by builder hinges. There are eight 3/4-inch screws in #8. When you reinstall the wood after years of service and drying, some of the screws will strip. All you need to do is drop by your local big box store and buy some stainless #10 1" screws to replace the ones that have lost their threads. We will recommend it to others and will buy it again if the need arises!.
They are really nice hinges and are a great value, but one of the hinges I received had a defect on the pin (see photos), and it was too late for me to return them. Make sure that you check each hinge pin when you receive your product so that you do not run into the same problem.
The quality and consistency are outstanding. In addition, the stamped name makes them appear less generic and gives them more of a brand image It is free of scratches and I like the finish as well as how everything fits and operates well. Adding doorstops is easily accomplished with hinge pins that can be removed. It is easy to match the screws and their quality is high as well. I suggest you grab a few inch long stainless #8 or #10 screws for the inevitable handful of prior door or jamb holes that may be stripped out, as mentioned by a few other reviewers. * * * I used a drill to remove and replace 84 of these as a replacement for old and worn out I replaced all of them one at a time without removing the doors and it worked Hollow core doors can benefit from sturdy hinges that are a great price for the money.
That is very There is no doubt about it from the pictures.
