This is a replacement magnet for the mailbox door magnet, which had finally eroded because of a hot day The magnetic bracket is easy to install into the original magnet's bracket. I would have preferred a black or dark brown color, however, it's a mail box, so white was fine. There's a need to glue the other half to the door, but it has been too cold to set the glue Although the magnet attracts metal of the door enough to keep it closed, it is not highly effective.
