Is it possible to use jb weld to make rifle bedding? This is the first time I've attempted it. However, a Google search for this phrase reveals a plethora of success stories.

After replacing the head gasket on my Chinese diesel engine five times to prevent combustion gases from entering the water jacket, I had no choice but to cover both the block and the head with J-cloth. B Weld8265S before installing a new head gasket and reassembling the engine. There is no longer any leak after 30 hours of operation. I'm not sure how long the repair will take, but it's already taken longer than previous repairs.
It's a good epoxy for most projects, but it's prone to chipping. In a high-abrasive environment, this product should not be used. It's possible that it could be sanded, but I didn't do it myself. When you need to remove something from metal, the chipping makes it easier.
Great product that does exactly what it says it will do, but it does take a long time to dry.
