Sorry, but I don't know anything about that kind of repair.
You'd have to contact Loctite to find out.
It takes about 5 minutes to make the sand, and it takes around 20 minutes to make the sand. The cure time is 30 minutes, and it takes 24 hours to complete.
This product adheres to any surface and works with cast iron pipe, as I discovered.br>Regards,br>Mark

This was used to batch a freeze break on the side of the engine block on my boat motor. When the motor was running, water would squirt out due to a crack in the cooling tunnel in the block. I removed the paint, smoothed out the crack, and then applied the epoxy. It has lasted for two years and has kept me from having to replace the engine for the time being. This is some incredibly difficult material.
This stuff, as well as the liquid steel, is incredible. While new ones were being built and shipped from Germany, I needed an emergency fix on large steel steam chests at work. Because the steel would have warped and the chests had to be flat, the fab shop next to us refused to weld that much of the area that needed to be repaired. On the steam chests, I machined them flat using 3 lbs of steel putty and 8 lbs of liquid steel. It ended up being a very nice (temporary) repair. Under 180 bar (2,610 psi), these chests close hydraulically and can withstand steam pressure of up to 6 bar (87 psi). The repairs are still holding up after 5 weeks of continuous use and cycling every 2 minutes. Even the guys from the fab shop next door are blown away.
It worked flawlessly!.
a good idea.
Excellent filler for steel putty.
