I would clean it off with a dry towel of some kind before it dries, depending on what you glued. If the glue has already dried, cut off the excess with a razor blade, Dremel, or other means, depending on what you glued. This glue works well and is difficult to remove once dry.
hmmm. I suppose it depends on the location of the crack and the type of material. Is it better to use plastic or wood? I would say "no" if it is an area that supports weight by "flexing." If it's something simple like gluing on a support nub or in a hinge, I'd say go for it. Seats for the toilet are inexpensive. Get a new perch by spending twice as much glue.

According to my experience with Gorilla 2 part epoxy, it takes about 8 minutes for it to become tacky. After mixing, put on gloves and use a spreading stick wide enough to cover as much of the surface as needed. In addition, I'd fully deploy both chambers and mix everything at the same time.

You must adhere to the instructions in order to obtain. So far, I've only used it to join 3D printed projects, but it's been a great success. To get the two parts of the epoxy to blend properly, you must follow the instructions. It would be nice if this product came with more than one stirring stick because you are unlikely to use the entire thing in one sitting. I purchased a box of wooden sticks to replace the one that was provided.
To avoid a lot of squeeze out, use only a small amount. It also emits an unusual odor, so make sure your workspace is properly ventilated.
