It's very thin, and it's not nearly as strong as some of the other duct tapes I've tried. I'll keep looking for the thick stuff we used to get with heavy cloth in it.
It doesn't stick to surfaces well or for very long, and when you take it off, it doesn't always come off cleanly, leaving residue and patches behind. br>br>The only thing it has going for it is the price, but is the price worth it if the product doesn't even do what I bought it for? Spending a little more money on a higher-quality tape is something I would recommend.
There is no sticking together. I finally had to use one of the five rolls of $26 duct tape I had on hand. Very let down. It curled up as soon as the pieces were cut. Adhesion is either non-existent or extremely poor. I believe I would have gotten a better deal at Dollar Tree. My loss. You are now aware of the situation.
Duct tape is a sticky mess. When you remove the protective wrapping, you'll find a perfectly wound roll that doesn't stick to the table or bench when set on its side. You never know what you'll get when you shop online, but this purchase turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. There are enough rolls for the house and the truck right now. I'm sure I'll run out of rolls at some point. Meanwhile, I'll keep an eye out for other great products from this helpful and professional supplier.
This tape only lasts about a week before it completely falls off. You can't rely on this tape; my air conditioner seal falls off almost every day, the fan I tape to secure falls over and nearly injures my pets; you can't rely on this tape. br>br>Because this tape is so bad, I'm discarding two full rolls and a few partial rolls. It is strongly advised that you do not purchase this. Stops sticking on a regular basis. That's all I'm looking for. I'm not looking for any tape that has a quick adhesion time.
I used it to reupholster my favorite 25-year-old chair in a'redneck' style. The leather on this year's recliner is torn and cracked. ish concealment With about a fifth-width overlap, I used this in large strips across the entire seat, headrest, footrest, and so on. It has performed admirably for me, my family, and two dogs over the course of two months of daily use. There is no visible wear on the surface, and adhesion and flexibility are still good, with only minor lifting at the far edges (not seams). My spouse, on the other hand, admires the functionality but isn't fond of the overall look. The dogs don't seem to mind if I'm sitting in the chair or not.
It can also be used to tape up various types of trash. It works well for that purpose at a reasonable price, but I would not use it to tape the ductwork in your home for heat or air conditioning. For those applications, it isn't long enough. I use the more expensive, much thicker material for that. This accomplishes my objectives at a reasonable cost.
Overall, I'd give Ductape 5 stars, but it has a very strong odor that went away after a day or two, but damn if it didn't give me a headache. Overall, the product is good. I believe it uses a different adhesive than previous duct tapes because the smell gave it away and the way it sticks to things isn't quite as firm.
