Questions & Answers
The case is listed as being compatible with the 101, 106, and 107 models, so I believe it will fit the 106.
Mine is 6" x 3" on the inside, with each half shell measuring 1" deep when closed, for a total of 2 inches.
I'm not sure, but the 179 appears to be larger than the case. br>Carlos br> br> br> br

I recently bought a Fluke 107 and needed a way to tell the story of this nice, expensive meter. I went to Amazon and searched for cases that might fit this meter, as I usually do. br>br>At first, I was hesitant to buy it because it claimed to work with the Fluke 101 as well. I was concerned that the 101 would be too loose, or that this meter (106/107) would be too tight, because it was so much smaller. Much to my surprise, it works perfectly with this meter. There's just enough room to get a finger in there and pull it out. br>br>On the other side, it stores the meter leads and other small accessories without too much fuss; quality appears to be good, but only time will tell.
The Fluke 107 multimeter comes with a magnification attachment. It's a very tight fit, and a few more millimeters of depth would make it much easier to secure the multimeter and leads comfortably. In order to avoid having to force the zippers shut, I placed the multimeter upside down in the case. This gives the leads a little more room at the top of the case (and the screen isn't right next to the contacts), which makes me feel a little more at ease while squashing the case slightly to get it to zip. br>br>It does the job, but there are probably better alternatives.
The clam case is light and has a good zipper. It appears to be a bonded fabric on both sides of a moulded stryo. Sturdy. Cleaning is a breeze. With a webbed pouch on one side and an elastic band thingy on the other, this thing holds the 101 fluke and the leads perfectly. It includes a strap and a small carbiner. Cute.
This was purchased specifically for the Fluke meter mentioned, but it is a bit large. I'm not referring to the outer dimensions or the fact that it has space for probes, both of which are excellent features. The meter, in other words, is free to move around within its compartment. I'll have to add padding around the meter, which defeats the purpose of purchasing a fitted hard case in the first place.
So I'm not sure why "accuracy" and "easy to read" are available as rating options in the case rating, which this is. Those are the specifications for the Fluke digital multimeter in question. In any case, the case appears to be a good fit. The band inside is slightly loose, indicating that it isn't custom-made for the item. It does, however, do a good job of protecting the multimeter while also making it visible from across the shop.
This was purchased to maintain the condition of my Fluke 101. It was well-made and a perfect fit for the Fluke 101. There's also enough space for a few more connectors and jumpers.
This case is well-made and will provide excellent protection for your meter; I wish it were 1/2 inch taller, wider, and deeper so that the meter and probes could fit more comfortably instead of being crammed in.
This is an excellent case. The meter is the perfect size. With the probes in it, it can close a little tight. I wish it was a tiny bit bigger. It's still a great choice.
