Wave and Zigbee are two different wireless automation protocols that operate on two different frequencies. Although they are unable to communicate with one another, some controllers will include both Zigbee and Z-Wave technology. If you wave your hand in front of them, the controller will be able to control both devices at the same time.
I believe Wink 2 is a z wave device.br>Please confirm this, and it should connect.

This switch had a lot of potential for me to like it. The price is high, but it will most likely come down over time. The main issue I had with the previous incarnation of the GE Z-Wave was that it was too big. Guests were perplexed by the operation of the Wave dimmer switches. They would end up dimming the switch all the way down to 1% instead of turning it off and then not being able to turn it back on and then not being able to% The capacitive switch had the potential to make dimming the switch a little easier for newcomers. br>br>Unfortunately, the execution falls short of my expectations. The following are the main things that bother me:br> - I wish the capacitive area covered the entire front of the switch rather than just the ridges on the sides, top, and bottom. It would be easier to use and more like a touchscreen phone if there was more surface area.
- The amount of force required to make contact is a tad excessive. I'd like it to be a little more sensitive. br> - There is no way to turn the lights on immediately in the firmware. Instead, it brightens to full brightness before dimming to off. Instant on and off is what I prefer.
Many of the reviews make me wonder if they all apply to this product; I didn't read them before buying, and I'm glad I didn't. This switch did exactly what it said it would do. I have an incandescent light bulb, so I can't comment on the LED issues. br>Pros: br>1) The switch's style complements the other Decora switches in the house. The only distinction is that this is a touch control rather than a rocker switch. I do, however, have other touch dimmers (non-touch dimmers) that I could use. smart), and the use is very similar. br>2) Instead of a separate slider, the dimming function is accessed by pressing and holding the button. That appeals to me. br>3) The switch's body is small enough to fit into a crowded junction box. br>4) has a blue LED light beneath the switch to help you find it in the dark. br>As a bonus, there's a sidebar on the right. This light switch is not located in a bedroom. I read reviews where people complained that the blue LED was too bright for a bedroom and that they had to cover it up with white-out. Toggling the LED on or off is covered in the instructions, and it's a simple process - The LED is toggled by two taps on and one tap off. See the installation instructions for more information. br>5) Using my smartphone, I was able to easily sync this with the Smartthings app by scanning the QR code on the box or switch base on the first try. br>6) Alexa is fully compatible.
Con: 1) There is only one of them. These are the guidelines. They begin by stating that whatever wires are currently connected to the existing switch should be connected to this smartswitch. The instructions for adding the white neutral jumper are left out. There are currently no old-fashioned There will be a neutral wire connected to the school dimmer. The neutral is shown in the wiring diagram. I was in a rush and installed the circuit without the neutral, connecting all existing wires as instructed. It was obviously a failure. Like most guys, I decided to dig deeper into the installation instructions. To make you smile, I included this confession:.
What I like:br>* these look like regular switchesbr>* even though it's a 3-way switch, up is up and down is down a two-way switch - that's more convenientbr>* To dim or brighten the lights, press and hold - I prefer it to a separate sliderbr>* double-click to enlargebr> To turn it all the way on, click the button - When you need something extra bright, this is a great option. br>* It's simple to set up - not as large as some dimmers and smart switches are, making it easier to fit into the electric box
* you can adjust the min brightness, in case your LEDs
* in our bedroom, with four 4" Halo can lights, which flickered randomly if the lights were less than about 90%
* in our kitchen, with nine 6% I tried the Legrand based on that recommendation, but it doesn't support SmartThings (yet), which was a deal breaker for me. I uninstalled it and replaced it with a Leviton Z-Series thermostat. dimming of the waves It's the third time around. The issue has been resolved! Although I prefer the GE's design, the Leviton was functional. br>br>I'll locate a switch in the house that connects to a single light fixture with regular light bulbs for this GE dimmer. It's perfect for them. br>br>I'm a big fan of non-profit organizations. If you don't need dimming, you can get the dimmer version of these GE Englighten switches.
The switch did not arrive in the box depicted in the photo, but rather in a plain white box with some switch information stamped on it. From the standpoint of packaging, it appeared to be suspect. Refurbished vs. new? I'm not sure what I'm saying. Switch went through the SmartThings pairing process and requested camera access in order to scan the QR code. I had to go into the settings and grant camera access, but this caused the installation to fail (SmartThings program issue). The switch was left in an unresponsive state, unable to complete the pairing process or recognize the switch if the pairing process was restarted. The solution was to reset the switch to factory default by pressing the up switch three times quickly followed by the down switch three times quickly. The switch was able to pair as a result of this. The switch now functions properly, and the cost was reasonable. Other buyers have expressed concerns about led lights flickering. For me, using Feit LED floodlights, this isn't an issue. The switch is in excellent condition.
