Yes, even if you are not at home, you have control. HomeKit remote control necessitates the use of an additional Apple device as a home hub, such as an iPad, HomePod, or Apple TV, in order to avoid having to connect to the internet every time you enter the house.
The manual button can only be used to turn on or off in conjunction with the other buttons. The fact that the power button remains lit indicates that all outlets are turned on; otherwise, they are turned off.
It works with Apple Homekit Siri, as well as Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings. Just say: Turn on the sprinkler for me, siri. We recommend configuring HomeKit products in the Meross app first, as the Meross app provides the most recent firmware updates, allowing you to use the firmware more reliably and securely. The devices can be controlled in both Meross and the Home app once they've been paired with the Meross app.
There are no dimming options; Only two options are available: on or off. br>Each receptacle is rated for a maximum of 10 amps, but the entire device is rated for a maximum of 15 amps. So you can plug a 10A device into one receptacle, a 5A device into another, and nothing (ever) into the third. Alternatively, some other combinations that do not exceed 15A in total while also not exceeding 10A in each component.

I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of Apple's HomeKit standard, which I've found to be a bit finicky at best. However, the ability to access it quickly from an iPhone's lock screen is convenient for my wife, so I decided to give this plug a shot. br>br>All that said, this is an outdoor rated, triple outlet device that can be operated all at once or each outlet independently. br>br>Because the HomeKit standard is Apple's problem, not Meross', I will not give it a bad review based on HomeKit's issues. br>br> Both the Apple HomeKit and WiFi portions of the setup were extremely simple. I simply turned it on, checked that the red LED was blinking, launched the Meross app to begin device setup, and scanned the QR Code with my phone. I just had to accept defaults from there. br>br>Each outlet is rated for a 10A resistive load or an 8A tungsten load, with the entire device capable of handling 10A. This should be sufficient for most holiday decorations and accent lighting. Both within HomeKit and within the Meross app, the remote switching worked well. br>br>The only issue I have with this plug is that, while I can control it locally using the device's button, it is all or nothing. This means that the local button cannot be used to control individual outlets. Furthermore, the device's indicator lights simply show whether any of the outlets are turned on or if the device is turned off completely. By looking at the local device, there's no way to tell how many or which of the three outputs are turned on; additionally, there's a warning label affixed to the device next to the button, but it's a clear label with black print pasted on black plastic, making it impossible to read what's written on it. This should have been obvious to the designer or the factory worker tasked with sticking the label on the device, so I've only given this product a 4-star rating because of the lack of local confirmation/control and the poor labeling. stars.
I bought this to be able to turn on and off holiday lights via my Google Home speakers, as I already have a house full of Meross devices. Instead of incorporating another brand, I decided to give this a shot. I'm glad I made the decision to do so. br>To summarize, it performs as expected and with the same level of reliability as all of my other Meross devices. I have the option of turning on/off each outlet individually or all at once. br>br>Long Story (With Pictures Inside and Out)br>Packaging was excellent, with an easy-to-follow setup instruction book. It can only hold two people. 4ghz. This, I believe, is preferable because it provides more distance from the access point than other options. It doesn't necessitate a large amount of data transfer. If you use the same SSID for both, you'll get the best results. If you're using both 4 and 5 GHz, you may need to disable the 5 GHz in order to get the device to work. It was also simple to configure on a hidden SSID. All you have to do now is follow the instructions. Because I had already linked the Meross account to my other devices, it appeared right away in my Google Home app. Quality construction. br>br> That gets an 8 out of 10 from me. The rubber outlet covers could not be fully inserted into the socket when I first opened the box. The left and right covers protruded a little where they were attached to the unit and wouldn't fully insert, and the black housing has a clear warning label printed in yellow ink. It's IMPOSSIBLE to read this! To figure out what it was warning me about, I had to take it apart. This prompted me to decide that I needed to investigate further because that is what I do. After removing the screws, everything inside appeared to be in good working order, with no bad solder points and everything securely fastened. It was here that I discovered the issue with the plastic covers. br>I noticed that the hot leg of the input wires did not have all of the strands through the circuit board hole after I removed the board inside. It's understandable, but I don't think it's acceptable. I de- I soldered it and resoldered it properly. Because the post for the case screw is not fully seated in the socket on the left and right sides, the plastic plug covers cannot fully seat in the socket. To get the cover retainer to fully push in and "seal," I had to cut the rubber ring. br>In terms of weatherproofing, because it is only IP44, it is only supposed to protect against splashing water. I wouldn't put this outlet near a source of rain or snow. Splashing seems to have no trouble getting inside. Only the rubber outlet covers provide protection. Overall, this is a great switched outlet that could be used for Christmas lights and other similar items if the box is not exposed to the elements. I strongly advise you to buy it.
The Meross MSS630 is a three-in-one system. The idea of using a plug outlet to control outdoor landscape or holiday lighting appealed to me. The price was very reasonable, and it was less expensive than three separate switches while providing the convenience of a single plug. The fact that each of the three outlets could be controlled independently was also appealing. br>br>It was simple to set up HomeKit. Simply select Add Accessory from the Home app, scan the QR code on the device, and answer a few questions, including the unit's name and room. As of iOS 14, HomeKit also offers Automation recommendations. You can rename each of the outlets once they've been added to HomeKit to make the app more descriptive. br>br>A few things to keep in mind (these are covered in the Amazon write-up as well, but they're worth mentioning):
- Add the plug as an accessory to the Meross app on your iPhone. Because iOS currently lacks this functionality, the Meross app is primarily used to install any firmware updates that may be available. Although Automations can be set up in the Meross app, it is not recommended if the plug is set up in HomeKit to avoid a conflict. br>- When all three plugs are plugged in, the total amp rating of the plug is 10 amps. As a result, the plug can be used to control a small water feature pump or for lighting. It is not recommended for use with large motors or other heavy loads.
- The plug has an IP44 rating, which means it can withstand rain but not submersion in water.
