Will they revert to their previous state if there is a power outage?

Though I have yet to experience a power outage, I expect it to happen soon because the programming is stored in your iPhone Home App and the Homepod. I've moved plugs around without having to reprogramme them. The instructions for the device's unique MAC address are saved in the Homekit App.

Is it possible to use this with a plug from the United Kingdom? Is it capable of running on 220 volts?

The plug is a U, not a V. and a 110V power supply is required. br>THIS IS NOT A 220V POWER SUPPLY.

Is it possible to connect multiple light strands to a single smart plug via a daisy chain?

I'm not an electrician, but I have three sets of LED Christmas lights daisy chained on my roof, and four sets of mini lights daisy chained to these plugs on my artificial Christmas tree.br>It's important not to exceed the 15amp capacity; most light strands use far less.

17th revision In November of 2021, Returning to a 5-star rating Support contacted me and we exchanged several emails back and forth. They explained the cause of the reboots as well as the solution they devised to stop the reboots. They updated the devices' firmware and made it available via OTA. The reboots stopped after I upgraded my units. For those who are more technically inclined It had something to do with IPv6 and an older API in their firmware that would cause the computer to reboot. The newer firmware fixed the problem, and I was able to put my minis back into service. br>br>Updated 13- 2021 – August The units are constantly rebooting, causing connected devices such as televisions and lights to turn on and off. br>br>*Original* - I tried tech support and was given a one-star rating. br>br>*Original* - I tried tech support and was given a one-star rating. br The majority of these appear to have firmware version 4 installed. When you add them to your Home, the Apple Home app complains that there is an update available (notification, icon, and all), but the Meross app says there isn't one. This can be inconvenient, but follow the instructions below to resolve the issue and upgrade to version 4. However, you'll need two iOS devices to complete this task. I used an iPhone and an iPad for mine, but there's no reason why you couldn't use two iPhones or two iPads (the Meross app isn't designed for iPad, but it will work). To be more specific, do the following: br>br> br>br>1- br>br>br>br>br>br>b Install the Meross app on your iPhone or iPad (firmware updates require an account, unfortunately). br>2- br>3- Plug the Smart Plug Minis into the wall one at a time (to avoid confusion when selecting and updating). On an iPhone, open the Meross app, select Add a Device in the upper right corner, and then scroll down to Smart Plug Minibr>4-. br>5- Go through the Wifi steps and select the Meross Wifi that appears, then connect and add to home. It will launch the Home app, after which you will scan the QR code and follow the on-screen instructions to addbr>6- After you've added it, quickly switch to your other iOS device (in my case, an iPad) and open the Meross app.
7- Choose from the options on the home screen to see if a new device needs to be added. br>8- Return to the Meross app's home screen and select Account after clicking OK. 9- There is a firmware update available. br> Bob's your uncle once you've installed the Firmware. br>br>I hope this information is useful to anyone else who may be experiencing similar issues. br>br>I love my Meross plugs because they are so responsive.

UPDATED - UPDATE January 2022: This product works surprisingly well with HomeKit, but I had to return it due to some serious issues

Since my first review, a lot has happened. Meross has reached out to me to learn about my concerns, and they are working to resolve them. It's only right that I update/extend my review and increase the rating, for the following reasons: br>br>Meross tried to figure out what was causing the leak voltage. In December 2021, I received an updated version of the MSS110, which I retested - I'm pleased to report that the leak voltage has stabilized at around 1 volt (measured between 0. 9 and 1. 1 volts). br>That's perfectly acceptable, and it's even comparable to my favorite SmartPlug (EveEnergy). br>br>According to Meross, this new design/hardware version should be ready for production in December 2021, and it can be identified by the hardware version - Meross, to quote: br>"As far as I'm aware, the new design plug's hardware version is V7. V7 firmware version 0 xx. br>In response to another of your questions about the 80 port, we've disabled the page for MSS110HK after firmware V4. 12 is a film set to be released in the summer of 2020. "br>br>I can also confirm that on the replacement plugs I received, I was unable to reproduce the port 80 open website. " br>br>I hope this information is useful! br>Another thing to keep in mind is that Following my initial review, I returned all of my MSS110 smart plugs and chose a different product for my setup. Except for my interaction with Meross' team, who wanted to prove they could improve their product, I had no reason to update my review. They were successful in this. As a result, I'll keep them in mind for my next project. br>br>Original Review: September 29, 2021:
- br>After reading other reviews, I anticipated that this smart switch would cause problems in my network (I have a mixed 2. 4/5GHz WiFi) or, at the very least, a long and winding road to get it set up. But, to my surprise, this aspect of the Meross adventure was actually quite enjoyable. br>br>I took the switch out of the box, plugged it into the outlet, scanned the QR code with my iPhone, gave it a name, and voila! IT HAS COME TO LIFE! br>No, seriously, it was that simple to get this thing to work with HomeKit; the switch responded almost instantly, and I was overjoyed. br>br>However, as time passed and I learned more about the product, I discovered several flaws that forced me to return it; at this time, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE MEROSS MSS110 SMART PLUG! br>br>First, I discovered that some of my MSS110 smart plugs behaved differently in the network than others for some reason. They communicated over port 80 and displayed a HTTP server website with information such as the device's UUID and MAC address, as well as options to change the factory mode, load a new WiFi SSID and password, and upload a new firmware image. The rest of the gadgets (all from the same box! ) didn't do that; instead, when contacted on port 80, they simply stopped communicating. br>Now, in general, the latter is the correct behavior for security reasons, but it is extremely disturbing to see such disparities in behavior on the same product with the same firmware - Yes, I double-checked that all of my devices had the most recent firmware installed.
- > I contacted Meross support about this issue, and they sent replacement smart plugs to those who were affected; however, no clear explanation was given as to why devices with the same firmware behaved differently. br>br>While installing all of the smart plugs around my house and putting them to use, I ran into the following problem: When I plugged multiple lights into a Meross MSS110, I discovered that they remained slightly lit even when the smart plug was turned off. br>After some testing, I discovered that when these smart plugs are turned off, they leak a significant amount of voltage - We're not talking about insignificant amounts of money here. On average, I see 17-year-olds in MSS110. 19 volts or 15% of normal outlet power When other electronics are plugged into this device, it leaks enough to light up LEDs and disturb other electronics. br>br>By comparison, all other brand smart plugs and smart switches I've tested leak either nothing or less than 1 volt. Even the Meross Outdoor Smart Plug (MSS620) works perfectly and only has 0. When the outlet is turned off, it has an output voltage of 8 volts.
- > I contacted Meross about this issue as well, and they initially confirmed that this should not be the case, and offered to replace my products - When I told them how many people have this problem, their tone changed to "No, that's normal and not dangerous, you're fine to use them. " Finally, I discovered the same thing. br>br> as a number of reviewers had stated. that these smart plugs aren't always connected, and that they occasionally disconnect for a brief period before ceasing to function. Although it isn't the most serious issue, it is extremely irritating. br>br>Finally, consider the following: I wished for a different outcome, especially considering how well things began. However, I am not confident in the product or the quality assurance procedures in place at this time.
