Yes, in fact. but not in a safe or long-term manner)br>The power supply is 300 watts at 120 volts. br>If you need to control 3000 watts of power, you _can_ find a good dimmer with specifications that meet your requirements safely - Itol simply has a much higher price tag attached to it.
The slider switch is housed in a 1" X 2" box at the end of a 3-foot cord, which is plugged into a wall outlet and the lamp into the back of the plug. You can connect the dimmer switch to the lamp's cord or run it in a different direction.
Is this intended for torch lamps?
To turn the lamp on or off, you may need to click twice on the lamp itself. On my three-way lamp, I know I should do that.

It's ideal for a bedside lamp that, regardless of bulb size, is always too bright. You can turn the dimmer all the way down to create the perfect mood lighting without the glare, and there's no need for batteries! When you turn it all the way off, the switch is super smooth to operate and has a distinct stop feel. We also tried it with a Hitachi Magic Wand massaging tool, and it worked flawlessly to slow the motor down to the exact speed required. I'm going to order another white dimmer to keep with the Magic Wand because it worked so well!br>Excellent product!.
This is a Christmas tree dimmer that I purchased. We wanted to be able to dim the lights on our tree because it was extremely bright. The dimmer does exactly what it says on the tin. It has a completely off setting, and then you can adjust the brightness by sliding the lever up and down. I just wish the dimmer would let us set it to its maximum brightness for when we need it, but the highest setting is already quite dim.
The dimmer switch appears to be in good working order. I'm afraid I'm powerless to comment on the brightness. They're used in conjunction with a heating pad and a ceramic heat emitter. In my opinion, they are ideal for reptile heating equipment. I feel safe dimming things quickly and increasing them in small increments. On the dim slider, I wish there were some kind of indicators. br>br>I started at about 1/3 up and checked temps every 20 minutes. When setting up, I would move the slider up a small amount and recheck, and once I reached the temperature I wanted for the day, I checked every hour to make sure it was working properly and safely for my snake. Where I usually keep it, I drew a line with a sharpie.
This product does exactly what it claims to do. I bought it because I tried to sleep with fairy lights strung across my headboard, but they were too bright (yes, I'm 25 and I still like a nightlight now and then). So I went out and bought it. They had to send a second one because the first one didn't get delivered to my address (something about my delivery address not existing, even though it does and I'm here), so they had to send another. Amazon was fantastic in getting the replacement to me the next business day, which was fantastic. In any case, it works exactly as you'd expect. You plug it in, then turn on the lights with the dimmer switch, and it's done. dims. Lights. It changes the meaning of my fairy lights from "electric city" to "oh man, maybe there are living things strung up in a line providing me with enough light to feel safe. " This dimmer was a wise purchase, and I'm looking forward to putting it to use over the holidays. br>br>A word of caution: Before you plug in your fairy lights, make sure they are in working order. This does not apply to LED lights. I'm not sure if plugging them in is dangerous, but it could result in overheating, which could result in a fire! Because my fairy lights are not LED and use less than the maximum wattage, the dimmer does not get hot, buzz, or do any of the other strange things you may have read in other reviews. I've suspended the dimmer so that maximum airflow can circulate around it, but neither the dimmer nor the lights have been hot to the touch, and I've checked frequently. Please double-check that you're using the proper light type and wattage for this! br>br>Photos have been pre-processed. To demonstrate how bright the fairy lights are, I used a post-dimmer with my overhead light turned off.
It took some effort to remove the product from its packaging, but that's fine. Nonetheless, the item appears to be in excellent condition. It's a straightforward light dimmer with only one purpose: to dim the lights. The dimmer measures approximately 6 feet in length. 4 in. The switch measures three inches in length. The dimmer switch comes to a complete stop about 3/10 of the way down (as shown in the photo). At the 3/10 mark, there is a "stopping" point that will turn off the light. There are no abrupt stops on the slider, which makes it very smooth. On the back of the dimmer control, there are small "stubs" to keep it from sliding. br>br>Normally, I would list the benefits and drawbacks of the products I review, but this one has been fantastic. It's a straightforward light dimmer that accomplishes its goal. I would strongly suggest this product to anyone looking to add a light dimmer to any room in their home. br>br>THIS IS TO BE REMEMBERED: You'll need a light bulb with light dimming capabilities of some sort. The electrical current flow to the bulb will be strange and "possibly" problematic if you use a plain light bulb.
For my desk lamp, I purchased a 100W (equivalent) LED bulb, which was "a little too much. " I was in desperate need of my shades. Anyway, I was in desperate need of a dimmer. I did a lot of research on how to dim LEDs (PWM vs. DC). CCR and how difficult it was to find CCR dimmers, I considered Philips Hue, etc. ) and eventually, realizing that I was on a student's budget and couldn't afford a laboratory-style lighting system. I bought this to power my desk lamp with a high-quality variable AC power supply. br>br>The fact that the bulb is labeled "Dimmable" on the package played a role in my final decision. This indicates that the bulb is compatible with standard dimmers and does not require the use of expensive high-tech digital dimmers. This is vital information - I'm pretty sure this dimmer won't work if your LED bulb doesn't say it's dimmable. What did you expect?br>br>There is a buzz, but it only happens on the lowest power setting, and I have to put my ear literally two inches from the dimmer to hear it. Additionally, on the lowest power setting, there is some flicker in the bulb - But not in a way that's too obtrusive. To be honest, I've discovered that on all dimmers, all dimmable LEDs flicker to some degree. br>br>It's a little too slide-y for my tastes (the slider is relatively easy to push), but that may be desirable to some - If you need a high-viscosity polyalphaolefin switch lubricant, however, some high-viscosity polyalphaolefin switch lubricant will suffice. The feel is of high quality. br>br>Overall, this is a fantastic product that I would highly recommend for the price, and I'm sure it would work well with incandescent bulbs as well.
