Set lights to automatically adjust with the seasons so your family always returns to a well-lit home; use smart away to turn your lights on and off at random to make it appear as if you're home even when you're not (smart bridge, L-BDG2-WH, required).
MOST CONNECTED: Caseta connects with more leading smart home devices than any other smart lighting control brand (smart bridge required), including Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Ring, Serena shades, and Sonos.
SCHEDULE LIGHTS TO CHANGE AT SET TIMES OR ACTIVATE SCENE WITH THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON (bridge required): Caseta puts the smarts in the switch so you can control it in a variety of ways – via the free Lutron app, your voice, or from the wall. You can also schedule lights to change at set times or activate scenes with the touch of a button.
GET MORE FOR YOUR MONEY: A single Caseta smart switch can control multiple bulbs at the same time, allowing you to smarten up your entire home. Dimmable LED, incandescent, and halogen bulbs can all be controlled with ease.
CASETA WORKS IN ANY HOME: Unlike other smart dimmer switches, Caseta does not require a neutral wire, so it can be used in any home, regardless of age.

TECHNICAL DETAILS: Compatible with 150W dimmable LED/CFL light bulbs or 600W incandescent/halogen light bulbs; not rated for low voltage applications (i.e., incandescent/halogen light bulbs). lighting (either track or landscape)
(1) Caseta dimmer switch is included; a matching wallplate is available for purchase separately.

Questions & Answers

Is it true that you can't get back to your previous brightness settings without using the pico remote?

There's one more, PD-. 5NE- XX*, which, like the Pico remote, has a "bump" in the middle. However, it is costly (they displayed a price range of $99 to $199). On their website, you can get a $135 gift certificate: http: //www. casetawireless is a company that specializes in providing wireless solutions to businesses. com/Pages/Products is a website where you can find out more about the products. aspx). The bump, like the Pico remote, is for a favorite setting rather than the last. They also make one with a nightlight in the bump: br>br> PJN- 3BRL- GWH- L01, but that's a Pico remote control, not a main switch.

Is it possible to use this switch with ikea ceiling lights? All the bells and whistles are unnecessary for me. A simple dimmer is all that is required. thanks! ?

It should work with any lamp that uses incandescent or halogen bulbs, as well as the majority of dimmable CFL bulbs. It's a little more difficult with LEDs; only certain brands of dimmable LED bulbs will work. (This is due to the fact that the switch sends a small amount of current through the light bulb, and LEDs are so efficient that even when the switch is turned off, some bulbs can glow.)

On is always set at 100%
3/5

I really want to like these more; they were perfect for our patio lighting, which was limited to two lights. (There is no neutral wire for a more traditional smart-switch because of the cable setup). The main complaint is that turning on the lights using any method other than one of their specialty remotes (using only the center button on the remote, not the on bottom either), Given that the system must have the information somewhere if you can do it at all, I think this is a bit silly. Why not change the behavior slightly to make it more convenient for everyone? There is a way to change the switch's minimum brightness, but there is no way to change the switch's maximum brightness or set the default brightness when it is turned on, whether through the app, Google Home/Alexa, or the switches themselves!.

It is absolutely necessary! I have six of these in my new house and am extremely pleased with them
5/5

These should, in my opinion, work in conjunction with the App. To get wireless access to these, you'll need the Lutron smart bridge (ASIN B00XPW67ZM). It was extremely easy to install and I love the fact that you can set the precise light % within it (1%-%). 99%). There are only a few lighting options available to you (i. e. High/Medium High / Low, and so on. If you're using a physical switch, you'll need to do the following. br>br>For the first month (while my place was being renovated), I wasn't using the app and was wondering if I'd made a costly mistake by purchasing these instead of standard dimmers. Voila, I was able to use the smart bridge as soon as I connected it. It completely changed the atmosphere in my home. I can easily (and I emphasize EASILY) create "scenes" within the app, making it a one-stop shop for all of my video needs. the ability to touch I have a “scene” where each light is set at 10%, another “scene” where all the lights are set 25% and so forth and so forth and When you set the app to "Off," all you have to do is open it and all of your "Scenes" will appear on the home page. Love it! br>br>• I justified the cost of these dimmers by claiming that they were only $30 more than standard dimmers. . . Not bad when you consider the convenience of being able to control your entire house lighting from wherever you are (in the kitchen or even on vacation). I went with the Lutron DVCL-S, which has a sleek appearance. I originally purchased the 153P and installed them in a few locations, but after seeing the wireless capabilities of the Caseta Wireless, I returned them and replaced them with these. . . It is, without a doubt, pricey, but highly, highly recommended! Finally, I discovered that the remote controls (which I purchased by mistake) are completely useless. Save $5 by not purchasing the Switch/Remote bundle, as I did. I now have a box full of them that I am almost certain I will never use. Another feature I'd like to see is a high-resolution switch. Lights with different wattages I have a 1000K watt chandelier and had to settle for a switch that is far less attractive and is not wireless.

I bought this to control a ceiling light in my media room using Amazon's Alexa voice control, but it does not communicate directly with Alexa via Zigbee protocol
3/5

In the Q, I found a response. A that claimed to work with Alexa but failed to do enough research. The switch can only communicate with a Lutron smart hub using Lutron's proprietary protocol. This device can't use the built-in hub on an Echo Plus without first going through its own Lutron hub. This is fine if you have multiple Lutron switches and a Lutron hub is a good investment. But this is the only such switch I had planned to have, and I don't want to spend $100 on a hub and expose my home to yet another potentially hackable internet of things protocol. I waited far too long to install it, and now I'm stuck with a $55 switch that I can't return. Moral: Make an effort to learn more. However, when you're doing something new and complicated, it can be difficult. I paid an electrician $160 per hour to assist with the installation of the light, but despite advertising, he had little knowledge of smart hub protocols. However, it works well with conventional wiring.
