I hadn't considered looking, but since you asked, I'll do so. It bears the ETL mark, as well as. Aside from the organization that issues the listing, there is no difference between a UL and an ETL listing. Because Intertek ETL tests products against previously published UL Safety Standards, ETL Listed products meet the same criteria as UL Listed or UL Recognized products.
This item was created in California and is made in China.
Yes, I believe that is acceptable.
Yes. You can use the remote control or the power button on the receiving plug to turn it on and off. Both of these solutions are excellent.

It's a fantastic product that's easy to set up. Because my router and modem are in the attic, I bought this device to avoid having to get out of the garage and up two flights of stairs every time I need to reboot them. My attic is basically the third floor, and I keep the remote in a 1st-floor closet. Range is excellent through walls and floors, and this device is capable of handling the weight of all of my attic equipment. My modem, router, switch, and three power inverters are all powered by a power strip connected to this switch. If I have a problem, I simply press the reset button on the remote. I strongly advise you to make this change!.
It works perfectly with no fuss. Because the fountain I'm controlling is cast iron, and the plug is on the far side of the fountain, about 50 feet from the house, I was a little concerned about the idea that it had to be "line of sight. " However, it functions flawlessly and without issues. Other advantages include: br>br> 1) I appreciate the lack of a set-up. It comes pre-paired, but there are instructions for unpairing and re-pairing it. forming a relationship 2) I thought the instruction booklet was very clear and will keep it in case I have any further questions. 3) And I'm glad there's a button on the cord itself to turn it on and off without having to use the remote - Most other cords didn't appear to have that option. br>br>I understand we haven't had a rainy season yet, so I guess people's concerns about whether something is water-resistant are understandable. It's still possible that a tight situation will arise. However, the instructions made it clear that it needed to be up high and out of the way of water. I'm confident it will perform admirably. br>br>Overall, I believe I made an excellent decision at an excellent price.
Because both the lights and their power brick generate noise on the ham radio bands, I bought this remotely activated switch to turn off a string of LED lights over the counter in our kitchen from a different room. The item was delivered today. br>br> The installation instructions were clear and easy to follow. br>br>I particularly like two features. br>1) The remote has an on and off button, so you don't have to look at the controlled appliance to know whether you've turned it on or off. br>2) Because the receiver/switch box has a push button, you don't have to use the remote to control the appliance. These features set the HBN apart from other similar units on Amazon, which are similarly priced. br>br>I was going to deduct points for the remote because its battery is an unusual size: A23. Amazon, on the other hand, has a good selection of A23's at a reasonable price. As a result, HBN gets a perfect score. br>br>The reference to a "12V 23A" battery for the remote in the downloadable version of the user manual perplexed me. Although it is a 12 V battery, the style, also known as A23, rather than the current rating, is 23A. If the description (or the manual) included a picture of the battery, there would be less (or no) confusion. br>br>Because I'm writing this as soon as I get the device, I won't be able to include any information on reliability. If anything goes wrong with it, I'll make sure to update the review. As time passes, consider the lack of an update as proof of trustworthiness. Last but not least, I'm not sure how weatherproof it is because I'm using it indoors.
I also needed something weather resistant for outdoor use, so I took a chance! It was as simple as plugging it in and connecting it to the remote, which was much easier than connecting a Bluetooth device (which would have been the best thing ever if this thing had been Bluetooth). Possibly in the future. Because I didn't want to drill into my bricks and because I have an all-weather receptacle for my plug that clips/holds plugs and protects the heads from the elements, I didn't screw to the wall. The assembly is held at the proper height by this receptacle, which also supports the weight of the cable vs. the head. Inside the house, I velcroed the remote next to my outdoor lights so that I could easily turn them on and off. all without requiring any house rewiring!.
After that, the problems started. My wife reported that our Maytag dryer upstairs, on the opposite side of the house, had stopped heating after a day in my basement wood shop. I reset the circuit breaker, and the dryer resumed normal operation. A week later, I spent another day in my shop, and the dryer failed to heat. The breaker was cycled in the same manner as the previous fix. The next day, my wife noticed that no matter what cycle our Bosch dishwasher was on, the timer was stuck on 2: Yesterday, I spent another day in my shop, but this time I disconnected the remote control after cycling the breaker and running the dishwasher. Is it a coincidence that both the dryer and the dishwasher work fine? It makes no sense, but there are two appliances, three instances, all occurring after the remote control has been used. Meanwhile, both appliances are only a year old and have never caused any problems before, during, or after remote control use. Both appliances have advanced electronic controls, as far as I'm aware. I'm wondering if the remote switch sends out a signal that causes electronics to malfunction. I'm not going to try a third time because I'm afraid I'll break one of my expensive appliances. I'm at a loss for words. Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>Original Review: br>br>O I attached the little remote to the furnace duct above my table saw and plugged in my woodworking shop dust collector. It's fantastic! I no longer have to walk the length of my shop to turn on and off my rather noisy dust collector. br>br>The unit arrived in good condition. The battery was kept separate in a small plastic bag with a zip lock. Unboxing took longer than installing and plugging in the battery. The case and cord are both stiff and heavy duty, which is excellent value for the money. No programming is required, but it came with well-written instructions in case I ever need them. This would probably survive quite well outdoors, and I don't expect dust from my wood shop to get inside. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.
