This unit was purchased to replace a Legrand unit that I had used from my spares inventory the week before. That unit was used to replace a Leviton unit that had failed. I've been using Legrand (P) for a while now. For the next couple of decades, S) devices will be used to replace failed Leviton and Lutron devices. Switches and outlets from Leviton and Lutron have a flimsy feel to them, and they are flimsy. They break. br>br>Failure to br>br>Failure to br The devices made by Seymour (now Legrand) are solidly constructed and do not break. Only a couple of P's have needed to be replaced. S devices, and it was right after a lightning strike on the power line that runs through this house.
I was looking for a front GFCI when I came across this one. It's exactly what I'm looking for. Two screwdrivers Each of the four terminals had easy-to-use and sturdy down connectors.
I mounted this product on the wall where I could reach it and used a regular 20 amp power outlet to extend a power outlet in the ceiling (9 feet high) for my infrared heater. If it's installed in the ceiling, I can easily reset it without having to use a ladder.
