In terms of distance, I was pulling 1/4" and 1". It is not apparent to me that half inch conduit would pose any problems.
This worked well and was easy to use. It was quick and easy to connect the wires. Having only a 90mm diameter, it makes getting it through a smaller diameter 90 difficult because of its length. It did not cause any problems in the conduits I was pulling it through, which were 1" and 9/16". As it is flimsy, I wouldn't recommend using it on a daily basis to pull heavy wiring. However, it is ideal for occasional use, when a great deal of tape will be saved.

Despite being beaten to death by this wire leader, it worked fine for me. Over the years, I have pulled dozens and dozens of home runs that were solid #10. Towards the end of the flight, aircraft cable broke on the leader. After that, I attached a piece of ceiling wire to make it work. A review of this product will be beyond you if you are not in the electrical trade.
The job is made a lot easier by this. It is simply a matter of attaching the wires to the fish tape, looping them through, pulling and cutting the loops when the head arrives at You do not have to take the fish tape off between pulls - Your partner can push it through the conduit from the other side of the pull until it reaches the other side of the wall. There are four of these in my collection. It takes no time at all for two people per crew to finish a job. Please sign here. As far as I know, only mine came with a clip instead of the aircraft cable that some other reviews complained about.
It's easy to fix sagging wires. As this tool is not on any companies required tool list, your leadership will be impressed and it will make life easier for your trade brothers thus earning you brownie points. The next time I shop for some, I'll get a few more. The job site in which I work supports the use of this tool, so I expect it to "walk off" someday during lunch.
But it doesn't seem worth $5 to spend on something like this. Soon after I made that discovery, I realized the HVAC guys and the mechanical guys use metal banding very similar to this product to hold their ducts/pipes in place. In the event that I have to return this, I will simply get some scrap strapping from the floor and tie it up with some jetline.
The wire pulls work well with this product. I like the small size of the I am able to pull 8 #10s solid in 1" EMT. No idea how strong its tension is, but after all day of wire pulling I broke it.
It works so well that I was excited to buy my own because I've used it before. However, I received the SIMpull GRIPit which has a cable rather than the handy clip in spite of the picture I saw. The program still works, but the results aren't as good as they used to be. A picture I saw today made me feel like I had been duped.
It is much easier to pull wire with this.
