A friend of mine recommended this device for stretching barbed wire. It works very well at stretching the wire, but it is difficult to put the wire into There must have been a plain wire purpose for it.

Quite a strong clamp, however, there was not enough space when the clamp was opened to put the 2 strands of barbed wire into it without twisting and turning and bending the wire and then using pliers to engage it

Barbed wire may be too much for these grips

They are well made, though. Though they only fit barbed wire a little bit, they aren't as well-fitting as they could be.

I was unimpressed

As long as it isn't slipping, it works pretty well. Whether the wire is too small or too thick might affect slippage, as I get more slippage when tapping, but when it grabs it works quite I sometimes use it but rarely because I am annoyed by it.

Use of an ATV or UTV beats the use of a full wire stretcher
4/5

This product is ideal for small fencing applications and I've used it for several fences. As I was tightening barbed wire with it, I used my Ranger and winch. The only complaint I have is that the slot within the lever is too narrow when open for barbed wire. I also think it needs a small protrusion to make pulling the lever easier. In summary, this is a good piece of equipment.

We were only able to use it after removing springs and replacing the brad with a bolt once it fell out

An excellent tool for the farm
5/5

The difficulty of stretching barbed wire is well known to anyone who has ever done it. The tool leads to a much safer and more straightforward process.
