Insulation on this product is almost brittle, as opposed to any other landscape wire I have used. Wires made of rigid plastic are more similar to a hard plastic than the flexible type found in other products. It is far too stiff for me to buy more wire from this brand. I won't buy more when I require more wire.
Since I have been an outdoor hardscaper for years, I have used a tremendous amount of low voltage wire, and this wire is just as good as the professional grade that costs much There is no need to be afraid to buy this product. It's even cheaper than Home Depot or Lowes.
It is difficult to separate wires without exposing copper wire. I used it on landscape lighting. To separate the wires, I had to separate them for a few In comparison with another landscape wire I purchased, this wire was much more difficult to separate. When you ran the wire through your house, etc. , and then exposed the copper wire, you found it annoying. Could have been that it was cold outside, but another wire seemed to be easier to work with.
With a tough jacket, it appears it will withstand some abuse, such as compressing when walking over it, over a rock, for example. In my experience, a huge stone fell on it when I was installing it and the outer jacket did not give. While somewhat pricey per square foot, the fact that it would last for years is certainly It is a waste of time and effort to dig up and recheck wiring.
I was surprised to find the insulation very thin when I was cutting into the wire to separate Then I did it a second time when I thought I was being extra In my opinion, the insulation between those two wires should be a little thicker in order to prevent this issue. Other than that, I was very pleased with the wire and thought the price was reasonable.
I found it to work as expected. The thing you want is flexible, but it gets rigid after a while if you sit on it for a very long time. The price was a little less than the store, but if you don't need it right away, it's nice to save some money!.
The price was great, and the delivery was prompt This high quality wiring worked well for my landscaping project. I was able to use 9 lights + transformer on this wire and still have spare wire for my next project. It was also simple to connect individual lights and transformers to this wire.
I used them as power injection in outdoor LED The mats may be a bit overkill, but they've done the trick and so far have stood up to hot and wet weather outside. We will see how they handle the cold now. The first few days have been great!.
